| Earlier that day, while taking the trolley tour, we had heard that the Falls are lit up at around 9 pm. We left Fort Niagara and headed back to the Falls. It was raining, but Jill was anxious to see the spectacular view. We arrived at the state park parking lot and found that the eight dollars they charge during the daytime was not required at night. We always like to save a few bucks here and there when we travel. From the parking lot we walked past the entrance to the Wind of the Caves to the viewing area at the American Falls. Then we walked down the hill to the Horseshoe Falls and enjoyed how it was colorfully lit up from the Canadian side of the river. It was so awesome to be standing so close to the edge of the Falls, while the power of the Niagara River cascaded the roaring water to the bottom. The Giantman was actually scared to hold on to the railing that is only about 18 inches from this powerful wonder of the world. It is a memory that we will treasure forever. The Giantman gave Jill a kiss, as we stood that night at Niagara Falls, a place that many newlyweds have made their destination on their honeymoon. Perhaps, for us, it was the honeymoon that we never took when we first were married 27 years before. |

| Jill was too scared to visit the Wind of the Caves. You take an elevator down to the bottom of the Falls and walk out to a viewing platform. You definetly get wet at this attraction. | ||||||||||
