Mule Creek State Prison, Water Problem

On Saturday, February 14, 2009, at a little before 8:00 A.M., it was announced over the PA System, that the water would be cut off shortly.

The water was duly cut off at 10:08 the morning, and has remained off thus far all day.

Meanwhile they have sent inmates around to inform everyone, that the local water service is responsible in that THEY broke a water main.

Of course, that raises the inevitable question of “How did the Prison know before the fact, that the water was going to be cut off?”

They are telling us now (through the inmate network called the MAC or Men’s Advisory Council, that they plan to have “Porta-Potties available on the yard tomorrow. . . However, that won’t help the inmates who are not permitted to go to the years, will it?

The CDCR will have everyone believe that they are PROFESSIONALS in the field of PRISONER DETENTION — — — however — — — they have no idea what to do in the event that they (or others) screw things up. . .such as the water supply fails.

Now, if one has five thousand cows in the field, one installs tanks and dams to store reserve of water to tide those cattle through dry times.  Those tanks and dams are planned to facilitate the survival of the herds of domestic bovines.

Of course, any cretin would think that when people built the prison, they would have allowed for such an event when they first built the place?????

However, the California Republic decided that since the prison was designed to house less than two thousand prisoners, they would house more than FIVE THOUSAND inmates in the place. . .and who cares about water anyway??

Now they have a problem — — and the excrement will accumulate while they attempt to solve the problem.

But, back to those cretins, even they know that accumulations of excrement causes outbreaks of disease. . . .from Plague to Hepatitis, to staph and all manner of major and minor infections.

Recently, the much-vaunted “Three-Judge-Panel,” of Federal Judges took forever to decide, that the overcrowding was the cause of the breakdown of the medical treatment in the California Prisons.

Well, they decided that the overcrowding was the cause, but why is there overcrowding???

Fuhrer Arnold will have us believe that it is as a result of rampant lawlessness. . . Quite possibly there is excessive lawlessness in the Republic of California— BUT why is there excessive criminality, one might ask???

This author believes that the basic causes of the problem are, FIRST: a lack of adequate education and instilment of basic civil values in the children of the area. . . exacerbated by a lack of meaningful employment, and a breakdown in the faith basis and family unit. . .caused by a basic and intrinsic selfishness.

The products of dysfunctional homes tend to be anti-social, sure.

Then the State either turns a blind eye to the problem, or sends the offending children to slave labor (BOOT) camps.

There is as little as possible invested in rehabilitation, with the end view of full and productive prisons.

The prisons are a convenient source of income in rehabilitation, with the end view of full and productive prisons.

The prisons are a convenient source of income in the form of grants and the like from the Federal Government, and a course of employment for many otherwise unemployable. . .with the resultant trickle effect supporting many otherwise defunct County Governments.

The Guard Union contributes immense amounts of money to whatever government will expand their power-base, and truthfully want more and more prisons.  To cut costs, the Government of California crams double the capacity into the prisons!  And the infrastructure cannot handle the excess!!

Quite possibly there are also genuine problems outside the prisons, but the primary problem is the gross overcrowding, and the unlawful overuse of not only the infrastructure (sewage systems, water supply and suchlike), but also the very land itself.

Here we have a classic case of planned overpopulation gone berserk.  In this case there are over FIVE THOUSAND PERSONS using a very few acres of land, and creating waste products equivalent to a reasonably sized town!

In the past few years there have been SEWAGE leaks, and ground water pollution caused by the meat processing plant, and laundry wastes, with the result that (after the last sewage debacle), the prison was warned that any future leaks or overflow would incur a FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR FINE!

Late last week there were a couple of days of heavy rain, and the five thousand inmates had their showers to attempt to thwart the spread of all manner of epidemic and other illnesses.  (To say nothing of avoiding the stench of thousands of unwashed bodies confined together.  EWWwww. . . .

The local sewage containment was in grave danger of overflowing, so the government of the Austrian was in grave danger of overflowing, so . Simply cut off the water to the inmates, (leaving water supplies connected to the staff usage areas, the yard urinals, the medical facilities, and central services.

They informed the (supposedly) stupid and dumb inmates, that there was a water main burst, and the water was cut off for that reason.

Now, operating procedure requires that the prison supplies bottled water to the inmates in the event of a water failure, but the prison management somehow managed to fill and refill barrels of water from their remaining spigots and faucets, (presumably magically supplied to bypass the burst water main!!

But enough of the concentrated male bovine excrement.

There was no real water-main burst. . .A fact verified by one of the duty sergeants, who the author asked, “Exactly which County is the burst water main in?”  To which the sergeant replied, “I don’t know.”  A nearby officer promptly suggested that it was in Amador County, to which your author responded with, “Which Amador County?”  And the officer assumed a blank and lost expression (Possibly reverting to normality).

Meanwhile, three porta-potties duly arrived in this yard to serve one thousand, three hundred inmates.

Luckily, the magical water main burst managed to rectify itself during the night.

If one were to take the example of the Fuhrer of California, and his sworn Peace Officers (correctional type Mk.1) in one’s normal life, one would rapidly be named a liar, but shall we move on?

This example is but the very pinnacle of the tip of the iceberg, that is threatening to sink the bad ship California, just like that other small iceberg sank the (allegedly) good ship TITANIC.

I shall close for now,

Greetings from Mule Creek (the place of the magical self-repairing water mains).
