The following is a short prayer that I composed on Aprul 17, 2003 for a Christian acquaintance who was depressed—little realizing that two mornings later, Jail Staff would almost succeed in killing me. I give thanks to the Lord, that they failed that morning (April 19, 2003) and again on April 21,2003.
