“The Killer Cops of Shasta Strike Again!!!”

On Thursday, December 17, 2004, Linda Lee Wood was arrested and in custody, when she was killed by a single gunshot wound.

According to the Redding Police Department officers involved—(Eric Little and Investigator Robert Wilson)—immediately after “hearing” the shot they ran away from the scene “for their own safety”!!!

Subsequently they stated that Ms.  Wood was wearing night attire when they arrived (without a female officer present), to apprehend her, and the officers permitted her to “go upstairs—alone—to another room to change her attire.

In the subsequent “cover-up”and “whitewash,” officials proclaimed that the officers acted correctly.

In other words, Redding Police do not need a same-sex (as the Detainee) officer present when they detain a person of the opposite sex!

To prove the truth and accuracy (or otherwise!)  Of the cover-up statements, the following arrest and search took place on Monday, January 3, 2005!

On Monday, January 3, 2005, Redding Police Officers Randy Buntin and Levi Solada arrested Ms.  Sabina Hodges (21) and Charles White (40), and subsequently summoned female Deputy Michelle Lingenfellter of the Shasta Sheriff’s Department, to search the female suspect.

Now—if Buntin and Solada needed a female law enforcement officer present when they took Ms.  Hodges into custody—why the heck didn’t Little and Wilson require a female officer to be present?  (When they apprehended Ms.  Wood???)

Of course, in the past we have aired the fact that the local Sheriff (Sheriff Pope), is apparently keeping a supply of prisoners available for the sexual gratification and titillation of some of his minions and cat’s-paws in the Shasta Jail (where illegal searches, forced sexual penetration of inmates, killings, etc.  are routine!)

If Little and Wilson had honorable intentions, then surely they would have had a female officer present—would they not?

After all, the Law requires that a female officer search a female prisoner (Cal.  Penal Code §4021 (b).

Presumably the officers intended to search Ms.  Wood without the restrictive presence of a female officer and witness.

Even if the death of Linda Wood were truly the result of suicide—which is doubtful—the officers are responsible in that they did not call for a female officer to supervise her changing her attire, and to search her, thereby denying Ms.  Wood the opportunity to seize a weapon and use it.  At any rate the officers should at least have checked for weapons.

Presumably people do not have weapons in upstairs rooms in Redding?  (And if this is the truth, then how did Linda Wood get the Gun—by Witchcraft??)

Officials have said that people will “second-guess”their findings no matter what— —what a preposterous allegation!

If, of course, everything is “aboveboard,” “legitimate,” “proper,” and “right,” there would be absolutely no grounds for “second guessing,” and Ms.  Wood would most probably still be alive.

A few logical questions and surmises come to mind;

For example:

Since when do two armed Redding Police personnel run away from a gunshot?— — They have a reputation for, “shoot first and ask questions of the survivors—if any— —tactics!”

Why did two male officers to go arrest a lone woman dressed only in a “nightgown” or “nightie,” unless to sate some base motivation??

Why is it “policy” for two male officers to apprehend a lone woman in her night attire, without female personal present, and “policy” to have a female deputy present for the arrest and search of a fully clothed female suspect??

Possibly they would have us believe that they were intending to arrest the woman and NOT search her??  Is this “policy”??

Surely the authorities in charge do not expect people to believe that they intended to transport a potentially armed person without a search?  Nonsense!

The facts, taken as they appear, are that two male officers went to the lady’s Sunset West home with the intent of arresting and searching her there in contravention of statutory laws, moral rules, religious laws and laws of common decency.

The fact that she was wearing night attire when they arrived would appear to have been a “bonus.”

Then something went tragically and fatally wrong!!!

Now, if the two minions of the Law were and are blameless, and the hierarchy above suspicion surely everybody would welcome and independent investigation by, say, the State Attorney General, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But then, the independent investigation might start looking at some of the other recent killings involving Redding Police Department and Shasta Sheriff’s Department; like the wonton killing of Khamhane Philapandeth by then Deputy Sheriff Gregory Scott Dean, in the Win River Casino car parking, using pepper spray.  The killing of Robert Hedrick in Shasta Jail, the brutal beating to death by police of a man walking his dog by the railroad tracks, etc.  etc.

Certainly the heads of the Redding Police Department, the Shasta Sheriff’s Department, and the District Attorney, have spun a good tale about the tragic and brutal demise of Linda Lee Wood, but their tale is about as believable as the tales of “The Brothers Grimm,” “Hans Christian Andersen,” and other purveyors of fairy tales!!!

Wasn’t it Abraham Lincoln who said, “You can fool all of the people some of the time, and you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.”?
