Rain "Birdies"

Now for the story of "rain-birdies". I used to tell my kids when they were small (and now also my grandkids) that whenever it rained very hard (straight down) and you see the little splashes that the raindrops make, that they looked like little white bird wings flapping, hence the name "rain birdies".
