3 FEET UP is a husband and wife acoustic duo located in Gibsonville, NC.  Their original music is meant to inspire the listener to question and seek the answers within themselves.  Together, Chris and Victoria are a study of opposites: Husband and Wife, Guitar and Drums, North and South, Yin and Yang, etc. and the contrast makes them especially appealing to a wide audience.  Musically, they fit somewhere between the likes of Sting, Steely Dan, Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson.

3 FEET UP was formed after the couple experienced several tragedies, including the loss of Victoria’s only child in a roadside accident.  Determined to overcome and live again, Victoria convinced Chris to teach her the drums and in April 2004 they began making music together.  Two months later,  3 FEET UP played their first live show and have performed consistently ever since.

Chris Hardy is the acoustic guitar and lead vocal half of the duo, a BILLBOARD Magazine award winning songwriter and a former fretless bassist having a “Favorite Local Bassist” award named in his honor in Augusta, Ga.  He’s a veteran of bands up and down the east coast and tries to offer the listener more than the standard three pop guitar chords.

Although new to making music, Victoria Hardy has learned enough to lay down a sweet groove, while standing behind her drum set.  She has the mindset of a perpetual student, a quality shared by some of the world’s greatest drummers.

3 FEET UP released their debut CD entitled “Tank full of gas and an empty cup” in October of 2005 and they were featured on CBS’s The Early Show in July, 2006 as part of their “Living Room – Live” series, a search for undiscovered talent.
