Act 1
Usagi / Sailor Moon
Usagi's mom is reading a newspaper. "Wow, Sailor V-chan has done it again! Compare her to my daughter..." She looks up. "Usagi! It's after 8 o'clock!"
Usagi jumps out of bed. "Oh no! I'm gonna be late!" She brushes her teeth quickly. "I need to wake up earlier! It's my mom's fault..." She rushes out of the house. "Goodbye!"
I'm Tsukino Usagi. I'm 14, and in 8th grade.
"Why is it morning? I'm sleepy... I don't want to go to school..."
I'm pretty independent, but I'm a bit of a crybaby.
She trips and falls to the ground. "Oww! What was that?"
She looks up and sees a black cat with a bandage on its head.
"Hey! A cat!? Sorry, sorry! Are you hurt?" She holds the cat up. "Black kitty? Looks like you're in bad shape, but... you sure are cute!" She brings the cat to her face and kisses it. The cat bats wildly at her face. "Yeooouch! What? You're scratching... Huh? What's that? A bandage is stuck... You want me to take it off? Okay, okay." Usagi takes the bandage off, and the cat leaps away from her. It lands on a wall. They stare at each other in silence. A crescent moon shape is on the cat's forehead.
The school bell rings.
"Oh no!" She runs to school. "This is just great... I'm in trouble now!"
As Usagi enters her classroom, the teacher's voice calls out, "Tsukino Usagi-san! You're late again!?"
Usagi leans against a wall. "Ohh... She made a me stand out in the hallway." Her stomach growls. "I'm hungry." She unwraps her bento (lunch) box. "Hehe. Since I didn't eat breakfast..." She picks up a shrimp.
"Tsukino-san!" the teacher calls out. "What are you doing?"
This is the teacher Sakurada Haruna-sensei. We call her Haruda. She teaches English.
"This!" Haruna says. "This score is why you're in trouble! Here's your test." She holds out Usagi's test: she got a score of 30.
The teacher leaves, and two classmates come out.
"Usagi-san," says the boy. "How did you do on the test?"
This is that guy, Umino.
"I don't believe you, Usagi," says the girl. "You've got bad habits for a girl."
This is my best friend, Naru-chan.
"This time I didn't do so good," says Umino, who shows the girls his test. He got a 95. "A test is like a game, you know."
"A game?" says Naru. "You're really a nerd."
The three separate.
Naru looks back, holding her test with a score of 85. "Umino really did better than me..."
From a distance Usagi sees Naru's test: 85 percent.
Naru-chan's so pretty and smart... She's a lady.
Usagi, Naru, and another girl are eating lunch outside. "There's been a lot of break-ins at local jewelry stores lately," says the girl.
"That's scary," says Naru.
Umino comes over. "But," he says, "Sailor V caught the criminals!"
"Who's she?" asks Usagi.
"She's famous!" says Umino. "Everyone's talking about her. In fact, the rumor is that she's a special police investigator. It's almost the end of the century, right? That's it! About now, besides robberies, lots of strange things will be happening. We need to watch the news!"
"I see," says a girl. "A jewelry store will be broken into. I've got an idea!"
"Jewels are beautiful," says another. "They twinkle."
"Naru-chan," says Usagi. "You have a huge jewelry store."
"Hehe. Actually," says Naru, "since yesterday, there's been a big sale. Even we can buy stuff."
All the girls are excited. "No way!" "I'm going to go back and look." "Me too, me too!"
The girls are at the Osa-P jewelry store, peering in through the windows and looking at gems.
"There in the middle is the billion yen pigeon blood ruby. Next to it is a yellow diamond. That section isn't on sale."
They see some people clamoring over some jewels. "Those people are amazing." They go inside. "Mom!" calls Naru.
"Naru-chan," says her mom, the sales woman. "Welcome home. Are these your friends? Come here, look at all these cheap things. For your friends, I'll give a little discount." She walks away.
"My mom's never had a sale before. She finally got with the program."
"This is cute!" says one of the girls. "Since I got a good score on my test, I can get my dad to buy it."
"Hm hm..." Naru's mom is in the shadows. "This will get lots more young energy. I'll collect it... More..."
Usagi leaves the store. "She's lucky... With a 30 on my test, I can't ask my mom for money." She crumples the test up. "Goodbye!" She tosses it over her shoulder.
It hits a man standing behind her, who wears a tuxedo and sunglasses. "That hurts. Want me to get lumps on my head like you?"
She turns around and yells, "Th- These are not lumps! They're called odango! Odango!"
"30 percent..." He throws the test at her. "Study harder, odango atama." (roughly 'dumpling head.')
"I don't need your help!" she yells. She turns and walks away.
She looks back and thinks to herself, "What's he doing, wearing a tuxedo in broad daylight? Flashy guy..."
The man stands in front of the store, staring inside. "This jewelry store, this could be where it is... The Mystical Silver Crystal..."
Usagi is walking down the sidewalk. "Ohhh... I don't want to bring this test home..." She comes to the Crown Game Center. A poster for the Sailor V video game is on the window. "Ohhh... That Sailor V-chan is nice." She sighs. "I'll stop here for a bit." She goes inside. She sits down and plays a video game. "Woah... Don't mess up! I wonder what the trick is for this game..."
A man comes up behind her. "Hey, Usagi-chan. Wearing your school uniform home again?" He stands beside her. "Oh, the Sailor V action game? Look out! If you do it like that, you're gonna get killed."
This is o-nii-san (older brother). He works at the game center. (O-nii-san typically refers to someone who is not a brother by relation, but a friend one considers to be as close to them as an actual sibling.)
She continues playing, and hears a sound behind her. "Meow.."
She turns around and sees the cat. "What the... It's the black cat from this morning."
"Ohh," says the man. "This cat's been hanging around here for the last couple days."
"Hehe. Look, look!" says Usagi. "There's a crescent on her forehead. It's a bald spot!" She looks nervous. "Oh! Well... I should go home soon."
She enters her house. "I'm home!"
"Usagi," calls her mom. "You're here late. I saw Umino-kun a little while ago. He got a 95 on his test. What did you get?"
Usagi gets steamed and mumbles to herself. "That Umino! He talks too much!" She shows the test to her mom.
"30 percent!? Usagi...!" says her mom. "If you bring this kind of score, don't bother coming home!" She throws Usagi outside.
Her brother comes up behind her and kicks her. "What did you do, stupid? Get kicked out of the house again? I wish I had a better sister." "Shingo!" yells Usagi. "You're my little brother but..." She jumps at him. "Sailor V Kick!"
She hits the door with her leg. "Oww!" She starts pounding on the door. "Come on, let me in! Mom! Open the door!"
Inside, her mom looks annoyed. "She'll bug the whole neighborhood." She opens the door. "Okay, okay. Come on in."
Night falls. A man in a tuxedo, top hat, and mask steps in front of the Osa-P jewelry store. He looks inside.
Someone holds a canister. "Heh heh. I've gotten quite a bit of energy."
Usagi's classmate falls on a sofa, wearing a nice ring. "This is weird. Ever since I got back from that jewelry store, I've felt really weak."
Naru's mom smiles. "By selling these special gems, I've soaked up energy." Naru walks into the room and hears her talking. "But it looks like the spirit object could be here."
"Mom?"
Naru's mom turns around, with an evil grin on her face.
Usagi is in her room. "Crying makes me tired..." She picks up a math book. "Ohhh... I don't wanna do my homework..." She lies down on her bed. "Well, I'll rest... Just a little..."
She falls asleep.
"Huh?" A small Sailor V is walking. "My dream is a game? Hey, is this me? Am I Sailor V!?"
She swings a sword through a monster. "Ha! I did it! I beat him!"
The man who works at the Game Center is chained to a wall, holding the black cat. She frees him. "O-nii-san! I saved the cat! The cat with the crescent bald spot..."
"Yeeeoch! What the-?" Usagi jumps up from the bed.
The cat is standing before her. "It's not a bald spot," says the cat. "That's not a very nice thing to say." "The cat talked!?" "I'm Luna," says the cat. "I've been searching for you... Usagi-chan." Usagi stares in disbelief.
"You helped me by taking off that bandage. When I was searching, I couldn't talk, and my detection ability wasn't good. Those strange brats were really bad. That prank they played on me was very troublesome. It was good that I met you. Then you ran off, so I wondered what to do." Usagi turns over in bed. "Good night..."
"Usagi-chan," says Luna, "this isn't a dream!" "This is a dream," Usagi says to herself, "a dream."
"Usagi, wake up and I'll give you something. A present."
Usagi opens her eyes. "Wow!" She sees a beautiful brooch. "Cute! It's so pretty!" She puts it on and rushes to a mirror. "I can have this!? All right! A brooch!""Usagi-chan," says Luna. "Listen closely. Right now lots of strange things are happening in Tokyo. The police can't take care of everything. You've been chosen; you're a soldier. You have a mission: You must gather allies and defeat the enemies! And, we must locate the princess. Then..." "Luna," says Usagi," the brooch is glowing!!"
"Can't you believe what I'm saying yet? Shout! 'Moon!!'"
"Moon?" The brooch shines. "...Prism power! ...Make up!"
In a flash of light, Usagi transforms. She wears a short skirt with a sleeveless sailor top, boots and gloves. A mask covers her eyes, and two pins are in her hair, with two more on the balls. "No way! What, what happened!?"
One of the pins in her hair flashes. "Help me! Somebody help me!! My mom...!"
"Naru-chan's voice?!" says Usagi.
She sees a picture through her mask. A girl is being pushed. "Is that Naru-chan!?"
She takes off the mask. "A picture... Oh no!" She sees Naru attacked.
"Now do you believe me?" asks Luna. "Luna! I don't understand, but... Naru-chan's in trouble!"
"Help me!" Naru cries. "My mom's killing me!" "Luna! If I don't save her-!"
"I am not your mother!" The woman says as she strangles Naru. She turns into a monster. "About now, your mother is dying of starvation in the basement." "No! Mom!!" The man in the tuxedo, hat, and mask looks on from behind a wall.
The door flies open, as Usagi comes in. "Leave Naru-chan alone, you hag!"
The man and monster both spin around.
"Who are you?" asks the monster.
"Huh!?" says Usagi. "Me? I am... Umm..."From outside, Luna meows at the moon.
"For love and justice, I am the sailor-suited pretty soldier! Sailor Moon!" "Sailor Moon!?" asks the monster. "Never heard of you!" She sticks her arm in the air. "Arise! Slaves, devote your energy to our growing leader!" The ring on a girl shines as she rises from bed.
People gather in the street and walk to the jewelry store. "Kill her!"
One woman swings a bottle at Usagi, barely missing as she jumps out of the way. Usagi scrapes her knee on the ground. "What?" she says as she sees her blood. "So this isn't a dream!? Ow! I'm bleeding..." "What are you doing, Usagi-chan?" Luna jumps down on her. "Fight! Beat that monster!"
"What? But what can I do!? Why do I have to do this!?" She starts crying. "I want to go home!" The pin on her ball of hair flashes, and waves of sound fill the air. All the people collapse.
"Ohh..." the monster moans. "I'm numb... Supersonic waves!? Ohhh..."
"Don't cry!" calls the man. "Do it now, Sailor Moon!"
"Now, Usagi-chan," says Luna. "Take your tiara. Throw it and shout 'frisbee'!" Usagi takes the tiara and holds it. It spins into a circle. "Wow..." She spins and throws it at the monster. "Moon Frisbee!"
The tiara slices through the monster's neck, and she turns into dust and fades away.
"No way!" says Usagi. "The monster turned to sand... and disappeared!?"
"I didn't find the Mystical Silver Crystal, but... I did see something interesting!"
"That voice..." says Usagi, "from before...?"
She turns around to see the man jump into the air, his cape flapping behind him.
"My name," he says, "is Tuxedo Kamen. Sailor Moon, I'll remember you. You did it perfectly."
Usagi stares at the man leaving. "Wow..."
"You did great, Usagi-chan," says Luna. "She was pretending to be Naru-chan's mom. You see? The enemies are starting to attack, so... Usagi-chan!"
Usagi is still staring, with hearts in her eyes. The people start to wake up. "Wha-?" "What am I doing here?"
"Come on, Usagi-chan," says Luna, "let's go home."
"Ahhh... What a nice dream... I met a great guy..."
A man with short blond hair wearing a gray uniform looks into a crystal ball. "Sailor Moon?" he says. "She did that? Still, I will get it... The Mystical Silver Crystal." "And then," says Naru to her friends at school. "I saw the burglar. But the sailor-suited soldier saved me! Then I fainted..." "I saw that in my dream too!"
Usagi stands behind a wall, listening. The new brooch on her school uniform sparkles. "What's wrong?" asks Luna. "Usagi-chan?" "Hmph," she says. "Guess it wasn't a dream."

Act 2
Ami / Sailor Mercury
A woman with flowing hair sits in the hall of a stone castle, behind a crystal ball. "So," she says, "the Mystical Silver Crystal hasn't turned up yet." "That's right," says the blond man before her, bowing. "I apologize."
"Our growing leader needs power. Collect energy, and find the Mystical Silver Crystal quickly." "I understand," he says. "I am the Dark Kingdom's Far Eastern command officer, Jadeite. I will do it, Queen Beryl."
"I'm home!" calls Usagi as she walks into her house."Welcome back," says her mom. "Hey, bald spot kitty, your food's not ready yet." The cat jumps up and scratches at her. "I've told you a million times, mom," says Usagi, "her name's Luna. Call it a bald spot, and she'll scratch you." I'm Tsukino Usagi. I'm 14, and in 8th grade. My hobbies are eating, sleeping, and relaxing. I'm a cute girl, but a bit of a crybaby. She walks up to her room. "I'm hungry..." Luna enters the room.
It's supposed to be like that, but... "Luna... Why are you staying here, and watching me?" "What are you saying!!" says Luna. "You're still becoming a fighter for justice. The enemies will show up again. If I don't teach you, you won't be able to beat them!" "No..." says Usagi. "Thinking about that is too scary."I'm supposed to learn to become a fighter for justice from Luna... I don't believe this.
"So who are these enemies, Luna?" "They're not human," says Luna. "You should know that by now! These evil beings aren't just coming into existence now. You must find your allies quickly. Then we find the princess and defend her."
"Hey! Tuxedo Kamen! And Sailor V-chan. They're my allies!" "Those two... She's already found them?"
As Usagi sleeps, Luna enters the Crown Game Center. She steps up to a game console and types. A picture of a girl appears, along with some data:

The girl walks through the hall at school. "Have you seen the results of the test?""Yeah, I did! There's a genius in class 5!""Mizuno Ami!""Full marks in every subject. She's the best in the country!""They say she has a 300 IQ!""She's not human!""Huh?" says Usagi. "A genius?"
"Oh, Usagi, good morning," says Naru. "You know how she did it?" asks Umino. "The Crystal Seminar!""Is that the cram school where all the super-smart kids go?" "Mizuno-san goes there," says Umino. "It's near the game center. It costs a lot of money. She can afford it because her mom's a doctor."
"She's smart, she has money..." says Naru. "Her world must be different." "But she's cool... Probably hard to get to know."
Usagi walks past them.
"I hear she doesn't have any friends. She studies all the time."
After school, Usagi leaves holding her test scores. She pictures her mom's reaction. "She's been mad at me a lot lately." She sees the girl. "Hey, that's the genius from class 5." Luna jumps down onto the girl's shoulder. "Ow!" she says. "Oh, you startled me, kitty." "Luna!?"
"If I didn't live in a condo, I could bring you home," she says. "Ooh, you're soft."
"What the..." Luna sees Usagi staring and jumps from the girl's arms.
"Sorry," says Usagi, "are you okay?" "Yeah..." the girl says. "She just fell from the sky. I thought she was an angel."
Usagi looks shocked as she contemplates that. "You're Mizuno Ami-san, from class 5, right? I'm Tsukino Usagi, from class 1. The cat's name is Luna." A devil tail appears on Usagi. "If I become friends with her," she thinks, "she can tell me about the tests. Then will I be a super-genius too?" Luna runs away down the street. "Luna?" calls Usagi. "Umm... Mizuno-san, you, uhh... want to go to the game center?" They enter the Crown Game Center; Usagi starts playing a game. "This is the Sailor V game," she says. "It's great, but it's pretty hard." Ami stands to the side, staring. "Come on," Usagi mumbles. "One more time..." "That's another hundred yen gone..." says Usagi. "You want to play, Mizuno-san?" The girl starts playing, and does really well. People start gathering behind her, watching. "What's this?" "Wow!" When the game ends, she has the highest score by far. "Woah! The top score!" "Wow! Wow! Mizuno-san!" The man who works there, Motoki, comes up. "Hey," he says, "you did that pretty quickly." A fancy pen pops out of an opening in the machine. "Huh?" says the girl. "A free prize?" She holds it up. "It's a pen." "What!?" says Usagi. "Wow! Cool! I want one too!" She starts hitting the machine. "Come on, put out one more!"Another pen pops out. "Hey, I did it!" She holds her pen up. "It's cute!"
"Usagi-chan!?" says Motoki.
"This is sure interesting, Tsukino-san," says the girl."Call me Usagi. Can I call you Ami-chan?" "Sure," says Ami. She looks at the clock. "Oh no! It's time already! I've got to go to cram school!"
"Oh, you have cram school today?" says Usagi. "It's near here, right? The Crystal Seminar?" "Yeah," says Ami, "I have it everyday." "Everyday!?"
"I study a lot," she says. "I want to be a doctor, like my mom, so I really have to work hard." "Woah, a doctor..." says Usagi. "That's cool!"
Ami sits down at her desk at the Crystal Seminar, and puts a disk into her computer.
"Mizuno-san," says the instructor, "I've been expecting you. It seems you're a brilliant student. Everybody looks up to you. Study hard and you can be really smart."

Usagi is in the locker room at school the next day, in gym clothes. The others are changing. "Wanna go get some ice cream at the corner shop?" asks Naru. "Yeah, I'll go!" says Usagi. "Me too," says another girl. Usagi turns and sees a girl leaving. "Kuri-chan is going to the Crystal Seminar," says Naru. "Everyone's going there now," says Yumiko.
"The school is that good?" asks Usagi. "The lectures are all on computer. They must have interesting disks. At home, at school, all they do is read the disks."
"Disks?" Usagi says to herself. Ami is looking at her computer screen. "This is bad... I can't think straight... I'm supposed to study the stuff on the disk..." She writes down something.
Usagi runs through the hall, in her gym clothes, to Ami's classroom. "Ami- chan!" she calls. "You studying after class? Hey, you're using that pen! You want to come get ice cream with me?" Some kids walk past behind Usagi. "Come on, we need to get to the seminar soon." Ami gets up. "I have to go, too. To the Crystal Seminar." She leaves. "Meow," says Luna, as she walks up to Usagi. "She really overdoes that studying," says Usagi. "Oh, what's this?" She picks up a disk from the ground. "Did Ami-chan drop it?"
Usagi walks to the Crystal Seminar. The instructor is out front, handing flyers to people. "If you join now," she calls, "there's no admission fee!" She gives one to Usagi. "You can bring out your true abilities!" Usagi looks at the paper, which has a picture of Ami. "It's Ami! She's in the ad!" She reads the flyer: "A new development! With the Crystal Seminar, you'll be a genius too!" "Why don't you enter," asks Luna, "and study a little more?" "What? No way! This is a weird school!" Usagi crumples up the flyer and tosses it over her shoulder. "Don't throw it on the street," says Luna. The paper flies into the face of a man behind her."Hey!" he yells. "Odango atama! I am NOT a garbage can!"Usagi spins around. "Oh no, not you!" "Were you just talking to that cat?" he asks. "Ah! Of course not! Err, goodbye!" She looks at him. "Here, take this." She holds out a flyer, then leaves.
Luna looks at the paper. "Hey, Usagi-chan. That thing Ami-chan dropped is a Crystal disk. She must have borrowed it from a computer at school." She puts the disk into a computer, and text comes up on the screen. "Is this a lecture from the school? There's two questions. It says they expect you to devote yourself..." "What's with this thing?" Usagi says. She starts pounding on the computer. "Usagi-chan, you'll break it!" A voice comes from the computer. "Devote yourself!" "What the-?" "You will become a servant for our growing leader. Then, find data on the Mystical Silver Crystal!" "This...!!" says Luna. "It's a brainwashing curriculum from the enemy!"

The man Usagi hit stares at a computer screen. "Find data on the Mystical Silver Crystal! Find it..."
Usagi goes to the cram school, and sees a bunch of students. "That group is going to the Crystal Seminar!" She sees Ami among them. "Ami-chan!? She's so pale! Has Ami-chan been brainwashed? I have to save her!"
"Usagi-chan!" says Luna, "the pen! The one you got at the game center. Take it and throw it high into the air. Shout and transform!" "What?!" says Usagi. "I can do that with this pen!?" She tosses it into the air. "Moon Power!! Make me into a doctor!" She appears in a doctor's uniform, and grins. "Usagi-chan! Hurry!" "Heh heh..." says the instructor. "These Crystal disks will soak up energy. And, if I can use this genius girl's mind... Soon Tokyo- no, all of Japan will be under control. Soon I will find the Mystical Silver Crystal." Usagi runs through the door. "Everyone, get away from those computers! You'll be crippled!" "Who are you?" says the instructor. "Usagi-chan," says Luna, "turn into Sailor Moon!" "What?? Again?" "You can't fight like that. Hurry!" "Oh, yeah, I have to fight..." She grabs her brooch. "Moon Prism Power!! Make Up!!" She transforms, throwing her mask high in the air. "You're taking away the pure love of learning, by brainwashing these kids! I won't allow it! I fight for love and justice. I am Sailor Moon!! In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!"
A storm of papers flies at Usagi. "Oww! These papers are like razors. They're cutting me! I'm hurt... I already hate the test papers here! Luna..." "Usagi-chan," says Luna. "Don't cry blindly and make those supersonic waves come again. You have to watch out for Ami-chan and the others!"
"What?" Usagi looks up and sees the instructor (who looks increasingly like a monster) holding Ami around the throat. "Ami-chan!!"
"Why weren't you brainwashed?" says the monster. "Weren't you studying that disk?""This hurts..." moans Ami.
"Ami-chan!" shouts Luna. "The pen! Throw the pen into the air!" "Die!" cries the monster, as it holds out a claw.The pen in Ami's pocket glows. The sign of the planet Mercury appears on her forehead. A wind blows out from her, knocking the monster away. "What's happening?" says the monster. "My body's getting cold." "Fog!?" says Usagi. "Luna? Where are you? Ami-chan!? I can't see anything!"
The monster sees Usagi. "There! I'll cut her up."Two arms hold Usagi from behind. "Now! Kick!" "What?" She thrusts her leg up. "Sailor Moon Kick!!" She knocks the monster to the ground, and falls back into the arms of Tuxedo Kamen. "There was a monster right in front of you," he says. "Be careful." "Tuxedo Kamen!?" Their faces come close. "No way! He's here again!" He lowers her to the ground. "Hurry, save your friends. You can do it."
The monster approaches again. "There!" Usagi grabs her tiara and flings it. "Moon Frisbee!" It cuts through the monster, who falls to the ground, turning to sand.Usagi turns around, looking for Tuxedo Kamen. "He's gone already...""Usagi-chan," calls Luna.
"Luna? What happened to Ami-chan? The fog's clearing up." She sees Ami getting up, dressed in an outfit like hers. "Ami-chan?!"
Luna looks at her. "That mind... You're our smart ally. You can manipulate water and spread fogs, the power of Mercury. You are Sailor Mercury! We've been searching for you. You're a soldier too, Ami-chan.""Sailor Mercury!?" she says. "Me!? I'm a soldier?""You're an ally?" says Usagi. "All right! This is great!"

Rei / Sailor Mars

"Jadeite, this is twice you've screwed up," says Queen Beryl, standing beside her crystal ball. "Can you do what you've been assigned?" "Yes," he replies, "I'm sorry." "You send out those puppet soldiers because you're weak," says a man with red hair, behind him. "I am the North American command officer, Nephrite, and I could do this. Sacrifice yourself for the good of our growing leader. Gather energy for the common good. And you must find the Mystical Silver Crystal." Another man appears, with long blond hair. "The sailor-suited soldiers.. Could they be after the Mystical Silver Crystal too?"
"Queen Beryl," says Nephrite, "Tell us about it."
"Yes," says the other man, "What is this Mystical Silver Crystal?" "The Mystical Silver Crystal," says Queen Beryl, "is the source of immeasurable energy. The stone carries an infinite amount of power. With that, I can become ruler of the whole universe! Jadeite, Far Eastern command officer; for now, the search is up to you. I'm giving you one last chance." "I understand," says Jadeite. "This time, the sailor-suited soldiers will be exterminated!" "I sense something," says a girl, sitting before a fire. "Something strange is going to happen..."
Some kids run out of the temple. "The bus is here!" one calls. She turns and waves, "Bye-bye, Rei-chan!" "Goodbye, Mii-chan," the girl replies, "Take care of yourself." The bus drives away, with Jadeite at the wheel. He looks back at the temple. "It's 6 o'clock..." says Rei.
At school, a bunch of people are talking. "Has the 6 o'clock bus come yet?" "I know! That's the one that goes by Sendai Hill." "What? Really?" "The last stop is at the top of Sendai Hill. After that, nobody knows where it goes." "Death drives that bus..." "The bus goes right into hell." "Girls really like to spread rumors," says Luna. Usagi is resting beside her. "Usagi-chan! After school today, we need to meet with Ami-chan and make our plans for the future."
"Huh? I wanted to go home early today." "It's at the game center at 5 o'clock."
Usagi jumps up, excited. "Roger!" Haruna enters the classroom. "Sorry, sorry, I'm late. Let's start first period." Luna jumps down onto her head. "Yeouch! What's a cat doing in the classroom?" "Sorry, Haruda," says Usagi, "that's my cat." "Tsukino-san!"
I'm Tsukino Usagi. I'm in 8th grade; I like the game center, and sleeping. My talking cat Luna is teaching me to be a fighter for justice.
Motoki and Ami are watching Usagi at the game center. "You're getting better, Usagi-chan," says Motoki. "Yeah," says Usagi, "Ami-chan's been a great teacher."
This is the genius from class 5, Ami-chan. Like me, she's a fighter for justice. She's Sailor Mercury! As justice fighters, we have wondrous powers. "Luna," says Ami, "What kind of people are our enemies? What do they want? What are we supposed to do now?" "We have to defend the princess," Luna says, "and the Mystical Silver Crystal." "The Mystical Silver Crystal?"
"All right!" calls Usagi. "I beat level 2!" Something comes out of the hole in the Sailor V game. "Wow! Another prize!" She picks it up. "It's a wristwatch. Look, there's one for Ami-chan, too." "Oh, that's great!" says Luna. "With these, we can make communicators." "Luna," says Ami, "What are we going to do about the game?"
Luna looks at a clock. "Ami-chan, it's already 5 o'clock! Aren't you worried?" "Oh no! I've got English school today! Will you go over there with me, Usagi-chan? If I'm going to get there on time, we'll have to take the bus. Come on!" They go to the bus stop, where a bus pulls up. "The Sendai Hill bus?" says Usagi. Umino pops up before them. "That's right! This is the six o'clock bus people are talking about. You shouldn't get on it, Usagi-san! It seems like it goes to some unknown place." Usagi gets on the bus with Ami. "That just a rumor though, right?"
A girl with long black hair gets on and walks past them. "Look!" says Ami. "That uniform. She's from the T-A Girl's School."
The bus comes to a stop. "This is where I get off, Usagi-chan." They leave the bus and it drives away. "Next stop, Sendai Hilltop," a recorded message says, "and the Hikawa Shinto shrine." Ami goes off to her cram school. "Usagi-chan, come on!" says Luna. "Go and follow that girl." "Wow, she was so pretty." Usagi looks around. "Oh no! Where'd she go?" "She probably went to that shrine, Usagi-chan." They walk over to the shrine. Two black crows swoop down and attack Usagi. "Hey, what're you doing!?" "Usagi-chan!?" says Luna.
The girl, now changed into a robe, says, "I feel something." She opens the door of her room and runs out. "Something strange and ghastly..." She sees the crows swarming Usagi. "It's finally come." The girl takes out a small slip of paper. "She's going to make some disaster happen at this scared shrine. I won't let her!" She swings the paper and it flies at Usagi. "Evil spirit, begone!" The paper strikes Usagi between the eyes. "Oof!" She falls to the ground. "What-?" says the girl, surprised. "A girl?" She bows, embarrassed. "I'm so sorry! Umm... Usagi-san? I made a mistake... I thought I sensed something bad was about to happen." Usagi laughs nervously. The crows fly to the girl. "Phobos and Deimos don't usually attack people," she says. "That startled me," thinks Usagi. "She probably works here at the shrine."
"Miss?" calls the girl to a woman working, "Where did Mii-chan go?" "I don't know, Rei-chan. I think she got on that bus everyone's talking about. It's weird. I think it's dangerous, there may be kidnappings going on. I'm worried... Oh, but the shrine is okay! Everything's fine." The woman walks off with another man."We should watch that girl... Hino Rei-chan... She's making strange prayers. Her class thinks she's an inspiration."
Luna looks up. "An inspiration!? A cool-headed girl carries the wondrous power... A noble complexion... A flowing attitude... A beautiful body... It can't be... The princess!?"
"Are you slacking off, Jadeite?" says Nephrite. "Distracted?" "No," replies Jadeite. "I'm capturing lots of humans. I gather power from them, and present it for our growing leader. And I'll get the sailor-suited soldiers, too."
"Good morning!" says a classmate as she enters the classroom. "Did you see the news? A bunch of 7th graders have gone missing over the last few days!! They're all ones that take the bus to school!!""They all ride the 6 o'clock bus! The one that goes to Sendai Hill!""Oooh! Scary!"Haruna stands at the front of the room. "Quiet down! Recently, lots of kids have disappeared, so you should all be really careful." "Usagi-san! It's me," says Umino. "I think another kidnapping will happen today."
Usagi is walking down the street, carrying Luna. "This is suspicious," says Luna. "It smells like trouble. Come on, Usagi-chan. I want to check out that bus, and the Sendai Hilltop. Should we meet with that girl, Rei-chan? There's something in her spirit. I don't know if she's an ally... Or if she's an enemy." She looks up. "The bus is here!" "Oh," says Usagi and she boards the bus. "Getting on this bus is scary." She sits down in the back with Luna. "This is a lot of work to do, Luna." "It's okay," says Luna. "It's only 5 o'clock. Call Ami-chan. Contact her with the communicator. Then--" She stops abruptly."What's wrong?" asks Usagi. "Luna? Say something!" "Yeah, Luna," comes a voice beside her, "Speak up!"
Usagi looks up and sees the man she bumped into before. "You again!?" "You're so noisy, odango atama," the man says. "So we meet again." "But here!?" "I always take the bus from school," he says. "No way!" says Usagi. "With the junior high students?" "I'm obviously in high school," he says, holding out his student ID card. Usagi reads it. "Chiba Mamoru, Moto Azabu High School, junior class." She asks him, "If you take this bus, then do you know what's going on with it?" "Yes, it's the route. Many strange things happen."
Usagi stares at Mamoru. "That profile... Like... Tuxedo Kamen..." She turns her head. "No, no, what am I thinking..."Mamoru looks at Usagi and imagines a mask over her eyes. "Fighter for justice..." "What!?" says Usagi. "Er, oh! Nothing..." says Mamoru.
A recorded voice plays. "Next stop, Sendai Hilltop, and the Hikawa Shinto shrine." "Woah! That startled me," says Usagi. "That guy's pretty sharp..." says Luna as they get off the bus.Mamoru looks back out the window as the bus drives away. "Contact her with the communicator," the cat said. "Find data on the Mystical Silver Crystal..." said the computer disk. "Find it!"
"Where are the girls?" says the woman at the shrine. "They think you're a big inspiration; they want your fortunes. Where are they?" "An inspiration..." says Rei. "Maybe I can sense their location." "You should talk to the police," says the woman, growing anxious. "By now it will be hard to find them. Could you make them come to the temple? These strange happenings, you've got to help the girls!" "Now..." Rei says. "Return!" Usagi looks on from far away. "Rei-chan is so beautiful." "We don't know the enemy's plans," says Luna. "She could be one of them... We have to continue looking for the Mystical Silver Crystal." "Are the enemies looking for it too?" asks Usagi.
"Yes." Rei sits before a fire, holding up her hands. "Concentrate... What is going on? What's happening?"
The face of Jadeite appears in the fire. "Who's that?" Rei says. She sees Jadeite grabbing Usagi. "Usagi-chan!"
"Remember, Usagi-chan," says Luna, "don't let the Mystical Silver Crystal fall into enemy hands." Usagi looks up. She glances back, and sees a shadow move behind a wall. Tuxedo Kamen watches her from behind it.
"I sense something... foreboding..." says Rei. "Usagi-chan's in danger!?" She gets up and runs from the shrine. A bus, driven by Jadeite, approaches outside. He sees Rei running and stops the bus. Rei sees his face. "That driver! He's the man I saw in the fire... I have to hurry!" Jadeite opens the bus door. "Come on, get in. We're just... leaving..."
"It's almost 6 o'clock," says Usagi. "Usagi-chan," calls Luna. "It's the bus! Something's wrong. It's flashing red lights." As the bus drives by, they see Rei unconscious inside."Rei-chan!?" A black portal appears in a wall in front of the bus. The bus drives through it. "No way!" cries Usagi. "The wall! The wall! A hole opened up!? This is the 6 o'clock bus? I have to save Rei-chan!" She grabs her pen. "Let's do it!" She throws it high into the air. "Moon Power! Turn me into a stewardess!" Usagi appears in a stewardess uniform. "Usagi-chan!?" says Luna. "Why a stewardess?" "I have to protect the passengers and make sure they have a safe trip!" She jumps onto the bus as it rises into the sky. Luna tries to hold on to Usagi's leg, but loses her grip. She begins to fall. "Luna!?" Luna lands in the grasp of a masked man close below. "Tuxedo Kamen!?" He tries to get up to the bus, but it disappears before he can make it. "Oh no!" says Usagi. "Where am I going?" The bus ascends into the dark sky. "I'm scared... Luna... And Tuxedo Kamen... They can't help me now..."
"She transformed right before my eyes," says Tuxedo Kamen. "Who is that girl...?" He lets Luna down to the ground, and she runs away. Ami sits in her desk at class, and hears someone coming. She turns. "Luna!?" "Usagi-chan got on that bus!" Luna says. "We can find her by locating her communicator with your computer."
Something comes out of the computer. "Oh!" says Ami. "A sensor popped out of the monitor." They hear Usagi's voice. "Come in, Luna! Luna!" "Usagi-chan!?" says Ami, "is that you!? Where are you!?"
"Ami-chan!? What should I do? After going through the hole, I came to this place... There's a stone castle. I lost sight of the bus. Luna! What should I do?" "Usagi-chan," says Luna, "transform! You have to save everyone!"
"Right." Rei lies on the ground, unconscious. Jadeite kneels beside her. "So beautiful," he says. "I've wanted her since I first saw her. This girl..." "Luna!" says Ami, "We need to transport to where Usagi is! When I transform, could I use that power...?" "Yes," she says. "Here, take this." Luna hands Ami another pen.Ami takes it, then tosses her own pen into the air. "Mercury Power!"
"Moon Prism Power!" says Usagi, "Make Up!" As she becomes Sailor Moon, she sees Ami transforming beside her. "Ami-chan!" "So, you've come, Sailor Moon," says Jadeite.
"Over there!" points Ami. "Look!" says Jadeite, as he clutches Rei around the throat.
"Rei-chan, say something!" Usagi says. "I won't allow you to trap these innocent people here!! In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!" Rei looks up. "That voice..." Ami spreads a fog across the room. "Usagi-chan! Save Rei-chan while he's blinded!" "You're not very tough," says Jadeite. He sticks out his arm, and the fog dissipates.
"He got rid of the mist! He can't do that!" says Usagi. "Oh no, now what...? Luna! Help!" "Don't cry!" says Luna through a headset, as she sits by the computer. "If you do that, you'll make your supersonic waves come again. Those are really dangerous! Then you won't be able to save everyone. Use the Moon Frisbee, Usagi-chan!"
Usagi takes off her tiara, and it spins into a circle. She throws it hard. "Moon Frisbee!" It flies at Jadeite. "What- What's this?" he says. Luna strikes a key on her keyboard, and the tiara locks around Jadeite. "It's caught me!" An icy glare flashes in his eyes, and a force blows Usagi and Ami to the ground. Rei gets up, alarmed. "Ami-chan!" calls Luna. "The pen! Throw it!" Ami does.
The moonlight shines down on Rei. The mark of the planet Mars appears on her forehead. The pen glows. Two crows fly overhead. Usagi and Ami look on, surprised. "Rei-chan!?" "Phobos! Deimos!" Rei calls, as she appears in a sailor suit. They circle above her. She holds her arms out, and a ball of energy glows before them. The energy shoots at the trapped Jadeite. "Evil spirit, begone!" she shouts. Jadeite screams as he burns into a charred corpse. "You have to come back now," says Luna. "The dimension you're in is going to distort. You're in danger. Usagi-chan, get everyone together." Usagi, Ami, and Rei appear at the bus stop, along with the girls who had disappeared. "What? Where am I?" "Sendai Hilltop? Didn't I get on the bus..." "What, what am I now?" asks Rei. "These clothes..."
"Rei-chan," says Luna, "You have the power to manipulate fire, and receive the protection of Mars. You are Sailor Mars! You have been chosen to be a soldier!" "A soldier!?" says Rei. "You're our ally, Rei-chan!" says Usagi. "We've been looking for you," says Ami. "Looks like you're on our side."
"We're so happy we found you, Sailor Mars!" says Luna.
"I'm Sailor Mars..." Rei thinks to herself. "So that strange power I sensed... Was from them?"
Nephrite watches the three girls through a crystal ball. The other man looks on from behind. "Damn!" Nephrite says. "They defeated the command officer... They defeated Jadeite!"

A suspicious character...!!!

Luna thinks for a moment, then starts typing again.
Usagi's mom is reading the newspaper in the morning. A picture of Sailor Moon is on the front. "Wow, Sailor Moon-chan's won again! I wonder who that girl really is..." She turns the page, and sees an article on Princess D. "It's 8:25!!! I'm late!" Usagi storms past her mom. "Where's my lunch?" She flies out the door.
Usagi runs down the street. "Hurry up, Luna!" she calls to her cat. She sees a policeman talking to someone. "The police sure are doing a lot of inspections today."
I'm Tsukino Usagi. In fact, I'm the justice fighter, Sailor Moon! I have a big mission. It's pretty difficult. Our mysterious enemies are threatening people! They're not even human, and I'm supposed to beat them? And I have to search for allies? I don't know where they are... Plus, I have to find the Mystical Silver Crystal. And Luna says we have to locate and defend the princess. Usagi nervously walks inside her classroom. "Good morning..."
"Usagi," calls Naru. "You're safe! Haruda's not here yet."
Usagi sits down. "Hey, there's a lot of police out on the street. What's going on?"
"It's the royal princess, from the country with the biggest jewel in the world," says Naru. "Princess D is coming here. Tonight, they're having a dinner party at the embassy. The D Kingdom Embassy is below Sendai Hill, it's really close!" "Wow!" says Usagi. "A princess!"
"Yeah," says Naru. "She came into the royal family. She inherited a magnificent treasure. She's unveiling it for the first time at the dinner party. It must be so amazing!"
Luna reads a story about the princess in a newspaper. "Hey!" says one of the kids, laughing, "Usagi's cat is reading the newspaper!"
"Usagi-chan," says Ami.
"You're late!" says Rei. Usagi walks into the Crown Game Center. "Hehe, well, I did bad on the test, and had to stay after school. Ami-chan, you need to help me study."
This is an amazing girl. She's the genius from class 5, Ami-chan, and she's Sailor Mercury. And this is a fiery girl, but she's really beautiful. Rei-chan is a maiden at the shrine. She's Sailor Mars. See, I've already found two of my allies.
"Oh, I don't know why I have to be a justice fighter," Rei says, "I'm much too busy. So Luna, we're supposed to find this princess? What kingdom is she from? How will we know when we find her? And hey, where did you come from, Luna? Unless you tell us who you really are, I can't be a part of this."
"Well..." says Luna, "I can't tell you that yet. You just have to trust me." "But Luna," says Ami, "we need a little more data about the princess, and the Mystical Silver Crystal."
"I'd tell you about our enemies," says Luna, "but I don't know myself. The enemies are just coming to Tokyo now."
"Do we just become soldiers to fight the enemies?" asks Ami. "No!" says Luna. "You also have to defend the princess. You're the princess' royal guard. We can't find her yet. She's been sealed away."
"Sealed?" "I don't fully understand it myself..." says Luna.
"Why do you have that mark...?"
"The princess carries the Mystical Silver Crystal," says Luna. "That stone has an infinite amount of power. You're not perfect soldiers yet, and all the members of our team aren't here. When everyone has gathered, then the seal can be opened. You understand? This is all I can tell you now, okay?" "Okay," says Rei, "but what do we do now..." She looks off. "A memory..." she thinks, "I remember something..." "Usagi-chan!" calls Luna. Usagi is playing the Sailor V game. "You were the first one to become a soldier. You'll lead us, because we depend on you the most." She jumps on Usagi's head. "Usagi-chan! I'm talking about important things, you have to listen!" "Come on, Luna, I'm playing here!" Motoki walks into the game center. "Wow, there's a lot of cops out today. Hey, Usagi-chan, you brought your pretty friends."
"Hi o-nii-san! Say, what do you know about Princess D?" "Oh, the princess..." he says. "She's a blond glamour girl." "Hey!" says Umino, popping up, "I got one of these hard-to-find pictures of the princess!" He holds it up. She has short hair, and big glasses. "That's Princess D!?" "Kinda looks like Umino..." says Usagi. "Oh, I bet she'll wear a dreamy dress at the dinner tonight! I want to go there! I want to see her magnificent treasure!" "Forget it," says Rei. "I have bad feelings about it. Something's going to happen there..."
"The magnificent treasure of the D Kingdom," says Nephrite. "I must look into this." He stares at Jadeite's corpse, encased in a glass coffin. "Jadeite... Maybe you can be brought back to life. The Mystical Silver Crystal... I will get it." "Yes, Nephrite," says Queen Beryl. "With the power of the Mystical Silver Crystal, he can be revived. And our leader can become strong. The Dark Kingdom will rule the world. But what kind of object is it? What kind of stone is carrying that supreme power? Where is it!?"
"I'm home!" calls Usagi. "Hey, dad, what's going on? You're sure dressed fancy.""Oh," he says, "there's a dinner party at the D Kingdom Embassy. I'm covering it for the magazine." "What!? Can I come!?" "It'll be on the news later," he says. "You can watch that." He leaves.
Usagi gets a devilish grin. "Oh Luna... Let's go investigate." Luna looks alarmed. Usagi pulls out her pen. "Moon Power! Turn me into a princess!" She appears in a beautiful white dress.
Ami and Rei stand outside the embassy. Rei looks steamed. Usagi enters the room. "Wow!" she says. "A masked ball!" Everyone inside wears a mask over their eyes. "Hey," says Luna, "you can't tell who anyone is." Ami and Rei come inside. "Let's split up and look for Princess D," says Ami. "Usagi-chan?" she calls. "Wow, wow," says Usagi, "it's just like a movie." "Oh, good," says Rei, "with that girl we'll find her really quick." "I love dressing up," Usagi thinks to herself. "I wish I could dance, just for one song." Usagi's dad turns around. "Hey, she looks like Usagi! I hope my daughter grows up to be that beautiful." A lady bumps into Usagi, and her drink spills on her. "Oh, I'm sorry," says the lady. "Oh no!" says Usagi. "Now what..." She goes off. "I need to find to the bathroom..." Something drops from her dress as she looks for it. Tuxedo Kamen stands by the window, a mask covering his face. He picks up the object, which he sees is a handkerchief. It reads "Grade 8, Class 1. Tsukino Usagi."
Usagi looks around. "I can't find the bathroom," she says. "Luna... Ami-chan, Rei-chan... Where did they go? I turned into a princess, but... I'm alone. This is so boring." "A beautiful princess," the man says as he approaches Usagi. "Let's dance." "Tuxedo Kamen!?" Usagi says. "No way! This has to be a dream." They start to dance. "Oh, I've wanted to be with you," she says. "Me too," says Tuxedo Kamen.
"Usagi-chan!" calls Luna. Usagi turns around. "Luna!" She turns back, and the man is gone. "Tuxedo Kamen?" "Princess D is here," says Luna.
"Ohh..." thinks Usagi. "I wish I could stay with him..." She sees the princess walk in. "So? Any vibes, Luna?""No... I don't sense anything..." "So where's her treasure?"
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, tonight's main event. The magnificent treasure of the D Kingdom. You won't have another chance to see it!" "Princess, everything is almost ready," calls a man. "Okay," she says. "This is my assistant." "May I assist you?" the assistant asks.
"I'm not ready yet," says the princess. She rushes out. She thinks to herself, "Ohh... I'm not pretty enough. Hopefully everyone will like the treasure." The assistant's eyes glow. "I'll figure out your mystery," she says to herself. She turns into an apparition and streams into the princess. "I'll find your magnificent treasure." The door opens. "Princess D?" a man calls. The princess looks back with an evil glance, holding a box. "I've got the treasure!!" she yells. She runs out into the ballroom with the box. "Get out of my way!"
"Princess D!?"
"She's gone mad!" Usagi and Luna see her running. "Usagi-chan!" says Luna, "something's wrong! Princess D's taking the treasure to the balcony!"
Usagi rushes at her. "Princess D! Stop! That's dangerous!" She grabs the princess as she reaches the edge.
"Get off me!" the princess cries, and throws Usagi off. Usagi flies over the balcony.
"Usagi-chan!?" yells Luna.
Usagi sticks out her arm as she plummets to the ground. A gloved hand grabs it, holding her. Usagi looks up. "Tuxedo Kamen!?" She hears a voice come from the communicator on her wrist. "Usagi-chan!?"
"Ami-chan!?"
"The princess has a look in her eye!" Rei calls. "She's been possessed by an evil spirit... By an enemy!" "Heh heh!" says the princess. "You'll all become slaves to our leader!" Tuxedo Kamen begins to lose his grip on Usagi. She looks up, alarmed. "Oh no!" "Usagi-chan!" Luna calls. "The pen!"
"The pen!?" says Usagi. As Usagi begins to fall, the pen gets longer. It shoots up, and an umbrella opens out of it. Usagi falls, carrying Tuxedo Kamen over the balcony. They slowly drift to the ground.
"Today, you saved me," Tuxedo Kamen says. "I thank you." He runs off into the moonlight.
"No..." says Usagi, fingering her brooch. "It's always you who saves me." She lifts it above her head. "Moon Prism Power... Make Up!!" As she transforms, she pauses. "Oh no! My tiara didn't come on." She remembers that she used it to hold Jadeite while he died. "What if I don't get another one... What's this? My body's growing warm. Like I feel with Tuxedo Kamen..." A tiara appears on her forehead, this one adorned with moon-like rings. "A new tiara!?" She jumps up onto the balcony.
Ami and Rei are already there, in their sailor suits. "Usagi, you're late!" The face of Nephrite appears from above the princess. Blackness emanates from it. The people at the ball start to fall to the ground. "Darkness," he says, "swallow everyone!"
Usagi sees her dad among the people collapsing. "Dad!?" "Ha ha ha..." Nephrite says. "I will take this magnificent treasure for the growing leader..." Rei steps forward, and thrusts her arm out. "Evil spirit, begone!" she shouts.
The image of Nephrite just laughs. "What!? It didn't work!?"
Tuxedo Kamen appears on the balcony ledge behind Usagi. "Sailor Moon!" he says. "You must extinguish the darkness! You need a powerful light!"
She whirls around. "Tuxedo Kamen!?"
"Usagi-chan!" calls Luna. "With your new tiara, you can reflect the light of the moon! Hit Princess D with it!" "How could you possess this princess!" shouts Usagi. "I am Sailor Moon, and in the name of the moon, I'll punish you!" She touches her fingers to the center of her tiara. "Moon Twilight Flash!" The moonlight shines down on her and shoots at the image of Nephrite, destroying it.
"She vanquished it!" says Nephrite, moving back from his crystal ball. "Sailor Moon... She vanquished my shadow!"
"Ohhh..." moans Princess D. As she gets up off the ground, her glasses fall off. The three girls and Luna all jump back. "Princess D!?" Without her glasses, they can see her pretty face. "What... What am I doing here? My glasses... My glasses..." She puts them on. "I can't see anything without them." The girls picture Umino, who wears similar glasses. "What if..." Rei says. "Umino's..." "Hehe," Usagi laughs nervously. "N- No way," says Ami.
"The party's much more quiet now," one of the guests says. "Everyone!" says the princess' attendant. "The finest treasure in the world! The princess has brought it here!"
The princess opens the box, and takes out the treasure. She holds it up: a small statue resembling her. "A 2000 karat diamond!" she says, "of the first princess of the D Kingdom!!""A what!?" says Rei. "That's... that's not what we're looking for," says Luna. "Hey," says Ami, "where's Usagi-chan?"
"I'm exhausted," says Usagi, walking by a table. "Where's some juice..." She picks up a glass and drinks it. "*hick* Oh, that's good..." She stumbles back, and bumps into someone. "Oh, sorry..." She falls asleep against the man. Tuxedo Kamen picks her up and carries her out. "Ohhh...."
"You're just who I wanted to see..." He places a pillow beside a pillar on the balcony outside, and rests her against it. He leans forward, and gently touches his lips to hers. He kisses her deeply. "Oh... This feeling... So familiar... Sometime... Somewhere... So soft and warm... It's happened before... Those sweet lips..."
"Get away from Usagi-chan!" calls Luna. "Tuxedo Kamen! What are you doing? Why do you always show up where we are?" He stands up. "I, too, am searching for the Mystical Silver Crystal." Luna steps forward. "Are you our enemy," she says, "or our friend?" "Well," he says, "if we're both after the same thing... perhaps I'm your enemy." He looks at Luna. "Perhaps I'm your enemy."Rain pours down hard on the city of Tokyo. Lightning strikes in the distance. A tall girl runs through the streets, covering her head with her arm. "A storm's arrived..." she says.

Act 5
Makoto / Sailor Jupiter

"Where am I?" She soars through the air. "I'm Tsukino Usagi. Who's there? This fog is too thick... I can't see very well." She sees the figure of a man in the distance. "Who are you?"
The alarm clock rings loudly. "Usagi-chan! Come on! Wake up!" calls Luna. "You're going to be late!" Usagi sits up. "Ohh... I always have such weird dreams... I can't think straight."
I'm Tsukino Usagi. I'm happiest when I'm sleeping. I'm 14 years old.
Usagi walks down the street in the rain, carrying an umbrella over her head. "You know, Usagi-chan," says Luna, "you should really take life more seriously. You need to wake up earlier. Be more aware of your job as a justice fighter, in case there's an emergency."This is my talking cat, Luna. She's always bothering me, but she worries too much. Luna recalls her encounter with Tuxedo Kamen. "Perhaps I'm your enemy." He kissed Usagi.
"For example," Luna continues, "that Tuxedo Kamen. We don't know his true character. You shouldn't get too close to him. But, we need to keep an eye on him." "Tuxedo Kamen..." Usagi thinks as she walks. "What's wrong with me... Every time I hear his name, my heart flutters. He's so familiar... It's like I knew him a long time ago..." A car approaches rapidly. "Usagi-chan!" calls Luna. A tall girl dashes out into the street and shoves Usagi out of the way as the car drives past. She takes her to the sidewalk.
"That's dangerous," says the girl. "You should watch out." As she turns away, her rose-shaped earring catches the sunlight.
"R- Right," says Usagi. She thinks, "Rose earrings... They're lovely..."
All Usagi's friends are gathered, looking at a picture of Naru in a long dress. "Wow!" Yumiko says, "Naru-chan, you look really pretty!" "It was at my cousin's wedding," says Naru. "I rented it from the bridal shop near the entrance of the mall.""That's so cool!" says Yumiko. "When was it?" "Ohhh..." moans Usagi, "I've never seen a wedding ceremony! I want to see one!"
"So she's a June bride? Those are the best!" "Really? That's great!" "Ohh... I want to be a bride!" the girls say in unison.
Usagi looks up and sees the girl from the morning. "Be careful," the girl says as she walks by, wearing a brown school uniform. "Hey, who's that?" Naru says.
"F- from this morning..." Usagi says. "She's so tall!" says Yumiko. "Wow..." A teacher steps out of a nearby classroom. "Hey!" he calls to the girl, "You the new transfer student? Your uniform! What's with your uniform!" "They don't have one in my size," she says. She steps up to him; his head reaches up to her chin. "See, I'm pretty tall."Umino pops up by Usagi and her friends. "Today, that girl transferred to this school. She's in class 6. Everyone says she's super-strong, and she gets in lots of fights. That's why she got kicked out of her old school." "She did?" says Usagi.
"Where do you wanna eat lunch?" Naru asks Usagi. "Since it rained," says Usagi, "let's go to the courtyard." As Usagi walks outside, carrying her lunch, she sees the girl sitting alone. She rushes behind a tree. "That girl!" she thinks. "The super-strong transfer student!" She peers out, and sees the girl's bento box, which has lots of food in it. "Wow!" she thinks. "That looks so good!" "Heads up!" yells a boy playing baseball. "It's heading for the outfield!"
The girl looks up. She jumps and rushes in front of Usagi, catching the baseball right before it would hit her. She throws the ball back. "That's dangerous!" she shouts. As the ball flies high into the air, she turns to Usagi. "You again? You really should pay more attention." "Uh- Yeah," says Usagi. "Umino was right," she thinks, "she is strong." Usagi watches her take a bite of food. "Oh," she thinks, "that onigiri looks delicious."
"You want some?" the girl asks. "Really?" Usagi says. "Yeah! I'm a light eater."
"Oh, great," the girl says. "It's so hard being at a new school. I live by myself, too. Say, do you know of any cheap supermarkets around here?" "Yeah," says Usagi, "I can show you some stores. I can show you the game center too! And I can introduce you to everyone."
"Wow!" Usagi says, watching the girl play the Sailor V game, "you're really good at this." "Come on, come on..." the girl mumbles, "pull that, and... one second... use the super move... oh, I see the pattern now..." She kills one of the video game monsters. Ami walks into the game center, carrying Luna. Motoki follows her. "Usagi-chan," Ami calls. "Here already?" "Ami-chan!" says Usagi.
"That girl!" says Ami. "She's really good at that Sailor V game.""Usagi-chan," says Motoki, "this your friend? She from a different school?" The girl stands up. "I just transferred to Juuban Junior High, 8th grade, class 6. I'm Kino Makoto. Nice to meet you."
"Oh," he says, "I'm Furuhata Motoki." "Onii-san," says Usagi, "So that's your name! I never called you that..." "At college they call me 'Furu-chan,'" he says.
"Furu-chan?" says Usagi. "That's a cute name! So... Makoto-san should be... Mako-chan! The good cook, strong Mako-chan!"Ami and Luna look embarrassed. "Usagi-chan's sure acting weird..." thinks Ami. "She really tries to be friends with everyone," thinks Luna.
They approach a tall building. "I've heard strange things about this place," says Ami. "So this is the big bridal shop by the mall?" A mannequin is perched high up on a window, wearing a wedding dress."Hey!" says Usagi. "That's what Naru-chan was wearing." "Wow..." thinks Makoto. "That mannequin on the balcony looks so pretty. She's a bride..." Two ladies approach the store. "There it is," one says. "So this is the haunted bridal shop?" "That's right!" calls a voice. "Now leave! I am the ghost of the bride!" "A ghost!?" cries Usagi. "I will leave this mannequin at night! I'll get the man who walks."
"Whoever buys this dress will carry the ghost," says the lady. "It'll cause them great misfortune!" "Perfect," the other says. "Make sure everyone getting married sees this dress."
"Look. Phobos, Deimos," Rei says, "here's your food." The crows start to eat. "Rei!" says her grandfather. "Your friends are here." They walk to the entrance to the shrine. "Boy," he says, "you know lots of cute girls!" "Grandpa!" "There's something suspicious going on at the bridal shop. There's a ghost bride!" "It disappeared," says Ami. "It was going to go after some man." "Well," says Rei, "the ghost could make him evil." "Rei-chan!" "I wouldn't trust him," she says. "This is pretty complicated," Makoto says. "I'm going home." She turns and walks away. "Luna..." says Rei. "I know..." she says. "The light's growing," Rei thinks.
"How close is it..." Usagi sees two boys talking outside. "Did you hear?" one says. "Some guy in class 1 saw the ghost of a bride!"
"He did!?" the other says. "Yeah! It was taking along another guy..." Luna looks to Usagi. "We should check out that bridal shop again sometime."
The eyes of the mannequin sparkle. She floats from the window, down to the ground.
"Furu-chan! See you later." "Good night," Motoki says as he leaves his friend. He sees a woman looking out from behind a wall. "A bride?" "Hey..." the woman says. "Look into my eyes. Become my prisoner. Devote your energy to me!"
Makoto picks a soda can out of the vending machine. "Geez, it's gotten late." She turns around. "Hey, Mako-chan," Motoki says. "I've been waiting for you." "Me!?" she asks."Look into my eyes," he says. "I love you..."
Mamoru walks down the street, reading a book. He looks up. "What was that..." He turns a corner and sees Motoki sucking energy from Makoto. Mamoru looks alarmed. He takes off his glasses as he runs away. Usagi turns over in bed. She opens her eyes, and sees Tuxedo Kamen crouching in her open window. "What... Is this a dream? Tuxedo Kamen!?"
Luna opens her eyes, and sees Usagi gone. She looks out the window, and sees her running out of the house after Tuxedo Kamen. "Usagi-chan!?" Luna picks up Usagi's communicator. "Ami-chan! Rei-chan! Wake up! Usagi-chan's gone off with Tuxedo Kamen..."Usagi runs, following the man in front of her. "Where are we going?" she wonders. "Tuxedo Kamen... Where are you taking me?"She stops dead in her tracks, as she sees Motoki and Makoto, and a bright light glowing behind them. "Onii-san!? Mako-chan!? What's that light!?" Luna runs up with the other two girls. "Usagi-chan!!" They see the ghost behind Motoki and Makoto. "That's the ghost bride!?" "Luna!!" shouts Usagi, holding her transformation pen. "It's a monster! We have to save those two!" "Heh heh..." says the ghost. "More... Give me more energy... And then, I'll turn your bodies into mannequins!" Motoki steps forward, now wearing a black tuxedo. "My bride... Your groom is here!" He holds out a gloved hand. "It's time to go to your wedding ceremony... In hell!" "Who's that!?" says the ghost. The gloves fall to the ground. "Moon Prism Power!" Usagi calls. "Make Up!!" The disguise disappears as Usagi becomes Sailor Moon. She steps toward the ghost, the other two soldiers behind her. "You assume the sacred form of a bride," she shouts, "and use the whisperings of love for your evil deeds. I won't allow it!" She tosses her mask off. "In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!"
"How dare you toy with these people!" says Ami. "I will punish you! With the power of Mercury, I'll cool your head off!" "You're deceiving these girls!" says Rei. "With the power of Mars, I'll show you the flames of anger. With my high heels, I'll punish you!" "Toy?" says Makoto, surprised. "Deceive?" She stands up. "Those weren't his true intentions... I was deceived..." The sign of the planet Jupiter glows on her forehead. She rushes at the monster and lifts her over her head. "How dare you trample the innocence of girls!?" Luna runs to her, a pen in her mouth. She tosses it to Makoto. "Take this, Mako-chan!!"
As Makoto takes the pen, she appears in a sailor suit. Usagi stares in disbelief. "She transformed!? She's an ally!?" The dress of the monster drops to the ground, empty.
"Heh heh heh..." Nephrite stands in the distance, his hair blowing in the wind. "Nice job... But that was just my shadow."Makoto spins around. "Flower Hurricane!" Flowers fly toward Nephrite, swirling around him.
"It's- It's blinding me!" he says. "I call on the protection of Jupiter," Makoto says. "Summon a storm. Bring lightning!" A lightning bolt strikes an antenna raised from her tiara. It shoots at Nephrite, electrocuting him. His dead body falls to the ground.
"Nephrite!" The soldier of the Dark Kingdom calls, having witnessed the death of his ally in the crystal ball. Another man watches from behind, a cape draped over his shoulders. "Zoisite," the caped man says. "I didn't want it to come to this. You had better be smarter." "Kunzite!" the other says. "Well..." says Queen Beryl. "This Sailor Moon is stronger than we thought. She must not get the Mystical Silver Crystal. Hurry... You must find it quickly!"
Makoto falls to her knees. "Mako-chan!!" calls Usagi. Luna looks up and sees Tuxedo Kamen looking on. He glances at her, and runs off into the night. "Tuxedo Kamen..." she thinks. "He brought Usagi-chan here... That man..." "Perhaps I'm your enemy."
"What's with him...?"
Motoki sits up, holding his head. "What am I doing here?"
A tear drops from Makoto's eye. "I really liked him. But he broke my heart... This is just as painful as at my old school... Furuhata... O-nii-san... I feel so bad... But, I decided to go to a new school. I can't keep running. The wind has carried me here. Instead of love, I'll focus on more important things. I'll stay here." "That's right!" says Rei. "You don't need to cry over boys.""You're our ally, Mako-chan!" says Luna. "Everyone has their respective powers, and now, you are Sailor Jupiter!" "Sailor Jupiter?" Makoto says. "Yeah... That sounds right. I have a mission to accomplish." Usagi whirls around, and sees Luna in the shadows behind her. Luna steps forward, and drops a rod on the ground, with a crescent moon shape on the end. "Sailor Moon," she says, "the four soldiers are together. You are their leader. Now it is time to defend the Mystical Silver Crystal, and the Moon Princess."
