18:39 Yaaaaaaaaaaawn!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone!!! Today I am updating in my new semi cubicle in the business office of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital. People, this job is SO easy. I think it?s great, but the only problem is what to fill in the time with. I?m listening to Finch again, but this tie I?m listening to the entire cd?not just track 13 (What it is to Burn). This is the forth place in the hospital that I have worked in?

When I first started, I worked in the emergency as a tech checking vital signs, doing EKGs, and transporting places FROM the ER. A year later, the courier position needed help, and I volunteered to do it. A dollar extra each hour helped persuade me. The unit that the courier works for is called, "Nursing Administration." During spring break 2002, I wanted some more hours, and they needed help with computer stuff in Organizational Development, so I did that for spring break and a little after that too. Now, starting yesterday, I am working for the business office, as the "bed finder." This is BY FAR my easiest job that I?ve had here, and I?m happy with it. I only have to do two rounds a day, and nurses who need their charts copied, or units that need infusion pumps don?t bug me. The worst it gets is that my boss pages me to go to her office the next day at like 17:00. You might ask yourself?what do I do with the time when I?m not doing rounds? Well, I can answer that question in one simple word?NOTHING. I listen to music, surf the net, and chat with my friends. It?s GREAT! Nobody cares what you do back here, and they don?t try to keep a leash on you. Right now I gotta go eat my dinner with Pratho, so I?ll finish when I get back. (18:53 now).

(20:24 now)...Ok people?the word of the days is "douche-bag"!!! On that note, I?m gonna say bye and leave you all?temporarily. Bye!

23:41 - You girls think KFC is still open?

Hey everyone!!! I'm here reporting to you LIVE from my room at 23:41 in the PM on Tuesday, June 10th, 2003!!! But you probably already knew that with it being up there and all. It has been a pretty cool couple of days since my last entry...on monday, I had to wake up at 6:15 to bring my mom to work, and had to pick her up at 16:00. I can't believe I didn't go back to sleep all day. Oh well. I took a trip up to Fry's again to see if the cd player I wanted is there...it wasn't. But I spent like an hour and a half just wlkin' around, lookin' at stuff. It's a really cool place, and they have the best prices too. While I was waiting for my mom at work, my boss asked me to talk to the bed finder in the hospital, becasue he is gonna have some things to take care of during the summer. I have to do his job. I'm lovin' this now...more hours means more money in my pocket for stuff to do. I decided to meet with him on tuesday, so I could get some hours for learning hte job also, so you better be expecting another mention of this little thing. I picked up my mom at 16:00, and then drove home after stopping by at Sonic for a burger for my mom and a large chery limade slushie for me. THOSE ARE THEY BEST, RIGHT CHRISTINA?!?!? When I got home, I watched a little Simpsons, and then took a 3 minutes nap...no really THREE MINUTES. After we ate, I went to Blockbuster to rent a movie called Poor White Trash. It's actually a good movie! I'm even thinking about buying it! For a good laugh, go rent it.

On tuesday, I woke up at 12:30, and rushed getting ready, because the bed checker guy (his name is Tamur) expected me there at 13:00. I arrived there at about 13:05, but no big deal...Tamur is my age, so he was cool with it. Basically, all this job entails is walking around the hospital, checking if beds are empty, why they're empty, and where the patients are. This job is to make the hospital a more efficient place. In eight hours, I have to do only two rounds that take about 45 minutes each, and the rest of the time I get to do whatever I want. Pretty kick ass job, huh, and with me getting 80 hours on each paycheck, I'll be bringin' in about $1200-$1300 a month. F**KING AWESOME!!! After I was done "learning the ropes," I went to the mall and bought a blacklight generator thing for my drumroom...MY DRUMROOM IS GONNA BE KICK ASS ONCE IT'S DONE!!! I didn't have to pick up my mom today, because my sister said she would do it. I drove home listening to Finch, learning the drum part of "What it is to Burn" even better. I think I have it perfect now people!!! When I got home, I put up the blacklight, and to my surprise, it was broken. I must have tried 50 different thing to get it to work. I got fed up and then just gave up. I ate bratwurst for dinner, and then I brought back the blacklight to Spencers in echange for another one that works. They exchanged it with no questions asked, so that was cool. I just need to buy a blacklight poster for the room now. I saw this kick ass dragon one that would look GREAT. On my way home, I stopped by at Wal-Mart to check out the movie selection they had. I forgot that Old School came out today, but once I saw it, I bought it right then and there. GREAT movie. That's the movie that I watched tonight, and I thouroughly enjoyed it, and I'm guessing that if you haven't seen it yet, then you would LOVE it. Well, I gotta go right now, so i'll talk to you people when I talk to you!!!

23:14 - Fry's Electronics

Hey everyone!!! HJow ya doin'? Now now now...not all at once. That would be way too loud, so everyone take your turn. Uh huh, oh yeah...I know! He said what?!? No way. Well that's great!!! ok ok ok...that's enough of the small talk...let's get down and dirty! Um, metaphorically that is. Not dirty like Christina Aguilara...dirty like Jonathan Radke...in his head. Hahaha...ok that's enough. So...what has happened since my last update? I KNOW!!! I worked twelve hours on saturday, and I came home to have a sandwich. Today I woke up at 14:00 after having the craziest dream that I don't remember, took a shower, and then went to find "Fry's Electronics" to buy this badass cd player for my drumroom. I need a cd player in there so I could learn some songs by listening to them. (We're a cover band until we get good). There is this cool cd player there that's only fifty bucks, but that be SO cool if they had it there today, but they said they should be getting somemore in tomorrow, so i'm gonna cekck it out. I bought the movie Go for seven bucks, and then left. I have no sense of direction, so I got lost a few times on my way back. Get this...I used about half a tank of gas just drivin' around. It was fun though...I love driving around new places looking at the different things. I saw SO MANY "adult" stores that it's crazy. Do we really have THAT many pervs in this town? Geesh!!! (my word for Geez) Well, being a perv myself, I would have to say yes. Hahaha. Well I FINALLY got home at like 18:45. I went to get a cd from Brewer real quick, and then went to Juan's house to get my drumset and give him back his cds. I got home, unloaded my truck, and then set my drumset back up in my drumroom. I love my drumroom...it's so cool in there, and it relaxes me as I beat on my drums. Ya know, my playing ACTUALLY puts my parents to sleep, but don't get me wrong...I can still jam out like no other. Ask mi amigos that have heard me. After setting up my drumset, I agred to take my mom to her work at 06:15 IN THE MORNING. Oh well...I'm a nice guy so I agreed to do it. Well, today is Faith McCoy's birthday, and now she is twenty years old. Yay...now she can uhhh....no that's when you turn 17...oh yeah you can um, no that's when you turn 18. Well, now you can wait another year before you can buy alcohol. hahaha...I shouldn't talk...I turn 20 in three weeks. No big party this year though...I've had enough of those. Hehehe. Man I wanna play my drums, but it is too late for that. Man...Katie Holms is hot. Hahaha I'm watching that movie now. She's hot, but she is tall...for real...look at her next to someone...she's a giant. Ok well I'm gonna go now, and finish this movie while paying attention to it, so I bid you good day!

02:24 - Inactive Ignorance!!!

Oh man people!!! It has already been five days since my last entry!!! The time is going by way too fast, and it doesn't really bother me. Ever since Monday, I have tried to get together with my band, and have not been successful until tonight (thursday night). On tuesday, I brought all my stuff (drumset) to my singer's house, and they are still there for me to practice on anytime I want. For the moment, all we are playing is Chevelle songs, but we plan to play some of The Used and just thought of tonight with the help of a friend, Saliva. If you haven't guesed, Inactive Ignorance is the name of our band. GREAT name. It's catchy too. Something that you won't forget. The awesomist thing though is that our singer knows the girl who is marrying the drummer of Saliva, and they talked to the drummer, and he said that once we get things rolling, we might be able to open up for them in the smaller concert type things. FU**ING AWESOME...thats' all I have to say. My band consists of guys that go to Cy-Fair Community College, so it's cool.

Singer: Juan (Last name to be added once i learn it)
Lead Guitar: Chris (Last name to be added once i learn it)
Bass: Brian Brewer...YEAH, ON THE FLY!!!
Drums: Jonathan Radke...YEAH, ON THE FLY!!!

We have a lot of potential guys, so once we get things goin', and when we start to write our own stuff, you guys have to come and watch us perform when we have concerts. We can use all the support we can get. I am in such a good mood tonight, people. It seems like I've been a happier person lately!!! Life is good!!! But right now, life must go to sleep. Nighters all!!!

23:41 - Fun Fun Parties!!!

Hey everybody!!! These past few days have been REALLY fun!!! I've actually had something to do each day that was amusing to me!!! Let's see...well, on friday, I worked, but that's not when my funness starts. I got a haircut before I left for work though..I look even more pimpish now than before!!! So now I can be considered as a "Slightly Better Looking Guy" hahaha.

On saturday, I woke up early...I don't know why though. At 15:00, I went to Derrick Rose's house for his graduation party. GOOD barbeque, even though I didn't have much, and I got to meet a lot of Derrick's family. Good people. I got to catch up with his sister...she's in my class, and she is also a diabetic. I got to see one of my best friends, Emily Martin, and all of those people that I remember learning the ways of the Langham Creek band. After Derrick's party, I went to Dan Shalian's party at the driving range behind Jamestown colony. That place is pretty fun!!! I played a little volleyball, pool, and hit a few golf balls. I lost at pool against Emily, but that's ok, because she's better than I am...NOW AT LEAST. I will get my revenge!!! haHA! Eh..I probably won't. Oh well. I got home at about 00:15-00:30 from Dan's little shin-dig.

On Sunday, I went to the Langham Creek High School 2003 Graduation to see all of my friends from two years back...good kids them are! After graduation, I went to Christina's house and joined them for some Popeye's lunch. They're such cool people...I got to see Tony (oldest Salinas brother) and his girlfriend, Liz too. Good people them are. That night at about 18:15, I left to go to Cristy Garza's house for Christina (Salinas), Cristy (Garza), and Erin (Prante)'s party. They had a moonwalk!!! I played this game that I never had before, and I had fun with it, well at least as long as we played it. The game is called...oh man, I JUST had it on the tip of my tongue...man...this is frustrated...I'm gonna sit here and think of it until I get it.
...
.....
........
CATCH PHRASE!!! YES!!! Catch Phrase is the name of the game that we played. It's a game sort of like Pyramid, but you have more than two people playing on each team. I might have to buy it for those crazy nights at my house. hahaha! That would be major fun. Most of the night, I hung out with Samantha Medley, hangin' out in the back with Charles Ross, his friend Mike something, Michelle Brinker, and Monica Bansal. Good people them are...hahaha...that'll be my phrase for the night. The moonwalk was fun when there weren't people trampling on you. I left that party at about 23:30, and drove around a little bit, but eventually ended up going home at like 23:45.

Today I didn't do much. I slept most of the day, took a shower at 15:45, and then went to Subway to get a foot long tuna on white...THAT IS A GREAT SANDWICH!!! My mom asked me to record this new reality show, "For Love or Money." This is a TERRIBLE idea for a reality show. If you don't know what it is all about, then I'm gonna tell you. Ok...15 women all live in this house to win the one guy, but there's a catch...the "winner" also gets one million dollars. Now the guy doesn't know that they're also competing for the money...he thinks all they want is a chance to find true love. The guy happens to be the son of one of the doctors at the hospital I work at. In FACT, the doctor shares the office with my doctor. Still...it's a HORRIBLE idea for a show. Tonight, I am watching Donnie Darko...I really like this movie. It is one of my favorites, and I never get tired of watching it. I think I am done now, so I'll say my goodbye in the traditional BAR way. Goodnight...you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here!

01:35 - BAM!

Hey everybody! This is the first time in a long time that I'm actually tired at 01:30 in the morning, so this entry won't be too long. Tonight I watched the movie, Clerks...good movie. I give it 4 stars out of five, merely because the ending sucked. I worked today, and that's probably why I am tired. OH MAN, the funniest thing happened to me at work today...some of the doors at our work are harder to open than others, and today, after I thought I turned the handle enough inorder to open it, I did not. I kept on moving forward as if the door opened, and BAM! My face smashed into the door like an egg on a school bus on the last day of school. The whole nurses unit was right there, laughing it up, but I must say..if ik saw somebody do that, I would hav been laughing too. I made it clear to the unit that I didn't really care what they thought. I did something stupid, and I can't deny that. I cracked a few jokes, and then I was on my way. Now every time I pass that unit, there will be SOMEONE looking at me and snickering, thinking of that one moment. OH WELL...life goes on. Well, since that was the most exciting thing that happened in my day, I bid you all, gaziza!!! That's good-bye in Radkenian.

OH! The list of CDs I have are up now in addition to my movies..Click here to see all the CDs that I own.

Hey guys and girls!!! I'm a little dissappointed that no one is even TRYING my little caption contest!!! Come on! It doesn't hav4 to be that funny!!! Nobody is good at this kind of stuff...it demands a large amount of wit and comedy! Even if you don't think your caption isn't good enough, send them anyway! I need SOME suggestions in order to claim a winner. Pleas people, make this idea work! I REALLY think it will be fun.

I think I haven't gotten suggestions from some people because they automatically close up pop-up boxes, or they have filters, so I fixed that problem.

Ok...on to my days!!! On tuesday, I worked at my "sit on ass" job, and it was very productive. This job is easy people!!! Just a lot of waiting and a lot of short, 30 second naps! Hahaha!!! Just kidding(?) I was tired most of the day at work, but once I gulped down that bottled Frappachino (did NOT spell that right), I was VERY hyped up...the four cokes didn't help either. The whole last two hours that I was there, I didn't even sit down...I was too restless. I went home, and took a huge two hour nap. When I woke up, I went to Blockbuster to rent "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance." This is a GREAT game!!! I would definently recommened it if you have a PS2, XBox, or a Gamecube. On Wednesday, I woke up with a call from Chris Pratho asking me if I wanted to go get lunch at IHOP. I quickly got dressed, and then I was out the door. I was a little pissed that they didn't hav the stuffed French Toast anymore, but I got over it and ordered a hamburger. It was ok...but kinda over cooked for me. After we finished eating, Chris and I went to sign up or our Fall 2003 classes. I'm taking Physics, Chemistry, Government, and Calculus 2. I will be VERY busy this semester, but it'll all be worth it when I'm done. I got to see our old bassist from "On the Fly," and I asked him if he was interested in being in my new band. He said he was!!! So I'm gonna give him a call once we get something together. The rest of the day, I sat around my house and palyed some Mortal Kombat. Her I am now, updating. So that's the end of my events! Remember...look at the caption contest!!!

18:13 - I?ve never had braces!!!

Something weird happened to me that I forgot to mention on Friday at work. Now keep in mind that I went to the dentist earlier in the day also. I get to work, and then one of the nurses from 2 south says to me, ?Oh! You got your braces off!!!? You would have to imagine that I was thoroughly confused, since I have never had or needed braces. I told her that I have never had them, and then she asks me, ?Why did I notice your smile then today?? I answered that I went to see the dentist. She then says, ?Well you have got a GORGEOUS smile!!!? People in the hospital are so nice?well MOST of them.

Ok?time to update. When we last left our young diabetic whipper snapper, he was updating his journal in the wee hours of Sunday morning. On Sunday, I went to a ranch/ country club sort of thing to celebrate Yanin Ounkomol and Tracy Upton?s graduation. I actually had fun!!! Got to meet up with my old high school buddies that are all two years behind me. But hey! Who cares! We?re all people, and most of us are all adults now. I?m not afraid to say that most of my friends are younger than me. Dan Shamlian, Emily Martin and I played a mean game of table tennis (not keeping score, but just hittin? it back and forth), then me and Emmy went to work out a little bit. The Himalayan Mountain trail was some hard work?especially after a few minutes pedaling uphill. My legs were so ?loosey goosey? but that felt good. There was swimming, but I didn?t swim. There was cake, but I didn?t eat any. But there was a killer guacamole dip and I attacked it. After the party I went to give Christina the CDs I copied for her, and hung out with little Drew for a little bit, playing Super Smash Brothers. I rented the movie The Last Supper staring Cameron Diaz and a bunch of no name people. This is a time when Cameron Diaz actually had some meat on her bones and looked a lot better. She looks a little too thin to me now?not my taste. Of course I went to sleep way too late, and I only got about four hours of sleep before I had to work a 12 hour shift from 07:00 to 19:00. you will notice that I am still at work, but the day is winding down, and I am aobut to go to Circuit City. ALL of their CDs are $9.99. I?m gonna splurge a little bit on myself (not that I don?t ever do it, but I?ve been watching my money a lot closer lately. Work was SO EASY today. Hardly any pages (on the pager) and hardly any pumps or specimens that need to be picked up from the units?A GOOD DAY. Right now, I am going to look for a website for this entry, so I?ll say my good byes now. So long, farewell, alveterzane, good bye!!!

00:33 - Damn you, self teasing body

Wow! It has already been a whole week ever since my last entry! Time flies by when you're either sittin' on your ass or walkin' around a hospital! No wait...that's not how it goes. Um....Time flies when you're passed out from the previous night? NO NO NO...time flies when it has wings. Now that's just dumb...how can time have wings? Time flies when you're HAVING FUN!!! THAT'S IT!!! I HAVE SOLVED THE RIDDLE THAT HAS PLAUGED MAN EVER SINCE THE DINOSAURS AND THEIR FLYING TIMES!!!

OK, but seriously folks...this week has gone by super fast. Maybe it's because I've had something to do just about everyday of it. Let's see..let us see...................on Monday, hmmm...on monday, lemme think....hmmmmm...(jeopardy music playing in background)...actually, nothing happened on monday. Tuesday, I had jury duty in the morning. Had to wake up at 5:45 to get there by eight, which I am glad I did, because I missed my stop by about 12 blocks, and had to walk all the way back. It was the morning, so thankfully, it wasn't too hot. I waited in this stuffy room with about 500 more people, waiting for their number to be called. We broke up into different groups, and then they divied up numbers for the court room. Now there were 40 of us, walking in a single file line, through the streets of downtown. The cop was stopping traffic for us, and it was GREAT. We got up to our judge's courtroom, and then got in four lines: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, and 31-40. Now keep in mind, I was number 35. They called the first 20 into the room to be interviewed into being in the actual jury. They are suppose to choose 6 jurors from each group of twenty, resulting in 12 jurors. Since this was a small case, they only needed 6 jurors, so numbers 21-40 got to go home. Not a very good jury duty experience, but still an experience. After I got back, I went and met the other guys that I am going to be in a band with. So far, there's Chris (on either rythym or lead guitar), Juan (on either rythym or lead guitar), and me (on drums, of course). We still need a bass player, but I am going to ask the bassist from my old ska band, On the Fly. The guys I met are cool, and the cooler thing, is that we all have the same interests (clothing style, music, hobbies, etc.). I think our name is going to be, "Inactive Ignorance" but we're still not so sure about it. That's all I did on tuesday.

On wednesday, we were suppose to practice at 11:00, but Juan had to go to work early. I was a little pissed since I tied everything into the bed of my truck already. Oh well...life goes on. The rest of the day I was working on my new RadkeVIDEO, The Art of Losing. There goes wednesday for ya!

Thursday was a busy busy day...this was a RadkeDAY. We all woke up bright and early to take a trip up to Austin (Woke at 06:45, left at 08:00). We moved my sister back into our house from Austin. First of all, it was a three hour trip there, and once we got there, we were moving all of her furniture and stuff. With the sun blazing down on us, it was hard work. We had to dissassemble her bed, desk, and other stuff. It's a good thing that we have 2 trucks, because if we didn't, we would have been in trouble. We all drove our cars up to Austin - me in my 2001 Chevy S-10, dad in his 1997 Mazda Sport, and mom in her 1999 Mazda 626. After we got all of her things packed and tied up, it was back to Houston. We filled up all of our cars, including my sister's 1991 Honda Prelude. It was kinda cool...like our own Radke-line on 290 in a trip from Austin to Houston. I finished my RadkeVIDEO that night!!! I would have to say...IT IS GREAT. A great song, with a great RadkeVIDEO. There's nothing better. Those who have seen or will see it, is in agreence (if that's a word) with me.

Friday and saturday I worked. OH MAN...on friday, I must have urinated about 15 times in eight hours!!! I don't know what was going on!!! That's the life of a diabetic...can't really do anything. Lastly, here I am now, updating my journal.

I would like to take this time to congratulate all of the seniors of Langham Creek...it has been a long road, but you've all gotten through it. Great job!!! Best of luck to you all in college!!!

Oh...explination of the title of this entry...yes...well ya see, at work, i kept on getting that feeling that you get RIGHT before you sneeze, but then it goes back down into your system. That was happening ALL DAY, and I couldn't stand it. FINALLY when I got home, I punched myself in the nose a few times (that usually helps a sneeze come out), and one came out. I was relieved. Sneezing feels so good!!! It was torturing me that I coudn't get one out. Thank god for my weird ways of getting it out. Well, this entry was VERY long, and i'm sure that you're happy its done with. Goodnight!

02:27 - The brain is a wonderful thing

Hey everybody!!! I am really in a good mood tonight!!! First of all lemme catch you guys up on the ole Radke Man (old school nickname from way back when). On thursday night i went and saw The Matrix Reloaded with Kevin Pan, Josh Hollander, and Jeff Chan. After I got into this movie, it was good, but much like the first one, it took a while. A little list of the things I thought could have bee better:

1. Some of the scenes were long and drawn out...I wished they would have ended sooner
2. The special effects stated to becom gawdy<--used bullet filming too much (rotating picture while in slow motion). As Tim Hall put it, "it made it seem too cartoony"
3. Could have been less confusing in some parts.
4. Could have gone in depth with a few more characters
Overall, I give it an A-, and I will be buying the DVD once it is released.

I worked in the morning on friday, so I had to be at work at 06:45 (after getting home at 02:00). Friday night was VERY uneventful. We went out for my dad's birthday to the French Quarter, and then my parents and grandparents went to an Astros game. Since I don't really like watching baseball, I decided to go home and ee what goes on from there. Nothing went on. I spent almost all night watching TV and trying to recored my video games onto my computer for my next RadkeVIDEO. On saturday, my dad, mom, grandfather, grandmother, tita Bette, cousin, and I took a little trip up to Austin for my sister's graduation...pictures will be up soon. We ate at Carrabas, and I ordered a $21.99 steak (filet mignon) without knowing it (the special). OH MAN was it good. We left Austin at about 16:45, and arrived in houston at 19:15. Took some good naps in the van. I went to James Tang's graduation party at an all you can eat chinese buffet place right by 290. I didn't eat anything but the cake since I already ate an expensive and filling steak, 3 hours prior to the party. I saw a lot of my old high school budies there, and that always puts a smile on my face since I like to keep up with them. They're growing up so fast...I could remember back when they were freshman, new to high school, and looking up (or down) to me, depending on their height. Now those people are all graduating, and I think that's just great. After I left the party, I called up Pratho to see what he was up to. Him, Aimee Winkler, Steven Halsor, and Derek Grandmeitter were going to see the movie, Phone Booth. Since I didn't really feel like going home, I joined them. I gave this movie a C+. It's good, but I would wait for the DVD if I were you, and I WILL NOT buy it. When the movie ended, Chris, Derek, and I went to Pratho's house to hang out for a little bit. I took Derek home at 00:45, and I got home at 01:20. So here I am now, updatin' my journal. The title of this entry was named thus, because of what my grandmother said to me during dinner at Carrabbas: "Jon, some day, you're going to make a woman very happy with your brain...the sexiest part of the human body." That comment made my day and really appreciate what she said. That's all you're gettin' outta me for the night, so I'll say bye. Bye!
