of St. Andrews. Full Uniform is needed! Please be there for 1030am
Snow Moot update...
The theme this year is the summer Olympics. There is a wide range of activities planned for the whole
weekend. Snow moot has the ability to be one of the largest and best Ontario Moots since a few of the other
ones have unfortunately folded ( Advertising has been implemented, flyer gone out, ads in the KYBO and Rover,
EH magazine! To date no one has registered but we are expecting a few in Dec. This year cabins will be assigned
on a first come first serve basis. It was clarified that if your on staff you have already been asked or will be
before early December. It is true that the 81st initiated the planning this year for Snow Moot but HRRT and the
District as a whole is responsible for it... Those not on staff are already forming their country contingents and
are going as participants. The core staff have already been chosen and you can check updates and meeting minutes
at http//www.snowmoot.cjb.net Sub Camp staff has already been chosen and most event staff has been as well. I do
believe there are still a few position left to be filled. Staff is made up of Rover from all over Hamilton
Wentworth District Planning is almost complete with a few details still to be worked out. For more info contact
Mike L. camp chief.
Vic Day...
Miller attended a meeting last Thurs. evening and had the following key points to bring up. The theme is 2001 A
Flight Oddesy. Camp chief if Lars, Scout S.C. Chief is Harold Hubber, Venturer S.C. chief is our own Cory S. (yay
Cory ). The scouts are planning off sight activities this year. There was a thought of going to the Warplane
Heritage Museum. There is also the strong possibility of a helicopter static ground display, a couple of Bush
Pilots will be giving rides in their planes for the day.... Sunday night again is open swim time at the Pool.
Event ideas so far (recognising that we need to ask the Venturers themselves what they want) - River rafting,
canoeing, sailing, hiking, kite making, human plane, Mud/obstacle course. We want some new events this year! Miller
and Dave are looking to see what is available in the Greater Burlington area for places to go. All ideas are
welcome!
The following people have volunteered there services for subcamp staff so far. Cory, Mark, Neal, Mike L., Todd,
Heather, Dave, Bart, Kate, Melissa.
