Here is the custom intake that I built for my 2.7 Intrepid. Thanks for all the help JoeKD!
The first thing I noticed with this project is the sound. With the stock setup, it was really quiet, even under hard acceleration. Not anymore! It offers a nice, aggressive sound...not too much...not too little. I didn't notice a whole lot of real performance gain, but 8-10 hp in this size of car isn't real easy to notice anyway. However, throttle response is MUCH improved! Obviously, I didn't have a heat shield in place when I took these photos. I've now got it in place, but I don't have photos yet. I hope to have some soon! Keep checking back! If you want one of these for your own LH vehicle, contack JoeKD by following the link above. You can build your own like I did, but the cost savings of building vs. buying are actually fairly minimal if you use good parts. If interested, I can get my parts list to you so you can build your own. Just shoot a PM to In2Deep on the DodgeIntrepid.Net forums. |

Yes, the grey elbow connector has also been replaced with a nice red one that matched the intake body!!
