Chapter 6

"Mom!" Joe said. "Let me get those for you." Joe said and ran to her. She didn't say a word, and only stared at Michaela.

"You!" Mrs. Hardy said, as Joe picked up her bags.

Joe looked up at his mother. "Mom, what did you see?" Joe asked putting the bags on the counter.

She turned to him. "How do you know this girl?" She asked sharply.

"What!? I met her today. She is a friend Mom." He said.

"She is a monster. I saw what she did, she is...." She started, but paused.

"Mom! Stop it. She is no such thing." He said and went to Michaela, and wrapped an arm around Michaela's shoulders and pulled her close.

"Get away from her Joe!" Laura yelled at him.

"No mom. What is your problem?" Joe asked.

"Fine then." Laura said and went and grabbed Michael's arm and pulled her away from Joe. "You are coming with me then." She said, and dragged a frightened Michaela with her.

"Joe!" She yelled.

"Mom, let her go!" Joe yelled, and started after them, but instead his mother turned around and Joe flew in the air crashing into the kitchen door and smashed threw it.

"Oh my...JOE!" Michaela screamed wanting to run to him, but Mrs. Hardy pulled her outside.

From the dining room Frank and Fenton came bursting in. Joe was laying on top of the broken down door. They had not noticed Laura, pulling Michaela outside, because they had already gone. "Joe!" Frank yelled. Joe was laying motionless on the broken door. He groaned and tried to get up. But was unable to. "It hurts to much." He whispered.

"What happened?" Fenton asked his son and tried to help Joe up, but Joe was in too much pain. Never in his life had he felt such force come against him. His entire body ached from head to foot. "Frank?" Joe whispered.

Frank bent close to Joe's mouth. "Mom did this. She has Michaela, they are outside. Get her!" He said, and passed out.

"Joe!?" Frank asked worried for his brother.

Frank got up and ran outside leaving his father, with his unconscious brother.

When he got outside, he saw his mother struggling with Michaela.

"What are you doing!?" Frank yelled running towards the two, glaring at his mother.

"My job." She responded.

"Mom! You nearly killed Joe! Let Michaela go! Joe can't even move, and if you let Michaela go, she can help him." Frank begged his mother.

Laura looked at the frightened girl in front of her. Michaela had tears streaming down her face and was shaking uncontrollably. Laura shoved Michaela to the ground. "Have your father bring Joe out here!" She yelled at her son.

Frank ran into the house, to see his father dialing for an ambulance. "Dad put that down. Bring Joe outside!" Frank yelled. Fenton sat with Joe on the ground looking at Frank. Fenton listened to his son, and lifted Joe in his arms.

They both walked outside and Fenton placed Joe in front of Michaela, as Frank instructed him.

"Could you both leave us?" Frank asked. "Please! Trust me." Frank said, kneeling next to Joe.

Fenton looked over at his wife who was angry. He nodded, and led Laura into the house.

Frank turned his focus back to Michaela and Joe."Michaela, can you help him. He says he can't move! Please help him! I need him!" Frank begged her.

She nodded. She wiped her eyes, and then placed her hands over Joe. She saw a small flash, of Joe hitting the wall, and she gave a small cry. Less than a minute later, she lifted her hands off Joe's body. "I think I did it." She whispered.

"I hope so." Frank whispered. He lifted Joe's head into his lap, and rocked him. "Come on Joe! Open those big blue eyes of yours." Frank whispered. Joe groaned and opened his eyes.

"Joe!" Frank said, and Joe slowly sat up. He hugged his brother. "This doesn't hurt, does it?" Frank asked.

"Not any more." Joe said turning and looking at Michaela. "You did it again. Thanks." He said and kissed her on her cheek.

I am losing him. Frank thought to himself. "Joe. You said that Mom did this. Is it true?"

Joe turned to Frank. "Yeah, it's the only possible explanation. She seems to know Michaela, or something, and she was doing something to her, and I went to stop her, and she..." Joe started and realized, that his own mother had attacked him. He felt tears slide down his cheeks. "She..." He broke down and Michaela clung on to him, tightly.

"Joe, its okay." She whispered and stroked his hair. She looked up at Frank, and saw him, he had a disappointed look on his face. Frank got up and ran into the house.

He went searching for his parents, and found them both on the couch in the living room. Fenton was rubbing Laura's back.

"Frank! Is Joe okay?" Fenton asked his son releasing his wife and getting up.

"He is just fine! I have to speak with Mom." He said sharply.

Fenton looked at his wife, and she nodded. "Okay son." He said and left the two to themselves, and went into the kitchen.

Frank stared at his Mother in disbelief. "Did you Mom?" Frank asked.

She looked down and nodded. "It was an accident. I didn't mean to! Its just...." She started but paused. She looked up at her son.

"I have to tell you something Frank." She said and patted the seat next to her.

He sat beside her, and he turned to her. "Mom, before you say, what you are going to say. Today, many things happened. One similar to what you did. How is this possible? I was able to hold a football in the air with touching it. I was using my mind. And I don't know how. Please tell me Mom." Frank begged her. "Its scary not knowing." He whispered.

She took a deep breath. "It's all very simple Frank. This may scare you, but it is true. I am not human, and neither are you!"

Chapter 7

Joe and Michaela, both sat in the backyard.

"So, what's going to happen now?" Michaela asked, facing Joe.

"I don't know. From what just happened. I don't belong here. Maybe I should leave." He said sadly. "But if I do, it will hurt Frank, and I don't want that to happen." He said.

She nodded. "I understand Joe. Maybe it would be better if I left. Your mother, for some reason, does not like me. It was very obvious, to me and I am sure, to you." She said, and stood up.

Joe stood up after her. "No! Don't leave." He grabbed her and held her tight. "I feel different when your around. I can't explain it, but with you around.....It's hard to explain." He said and kissed her forehead.

"Well, that was interesting." She laughed.

"What was? Oh..." Joe smiled and released her.

"Joe, please tell me what happened. From what you saw. In the kitchen." Michaela asked. They both walked onto the porch and they sat on a hammock. Joe gently rocked it back and forth.

"Well, my mom came in after you did the thing with the glass. You know, stopping it before it fell and broke." He paused. "Then, she got angry about something. She grabbed you, when I tried to protect you. I went to stop her, and I ended up getting thrown into the air, and I couldn't move. I can't believe that happened." He whispered.

"Joe, your mother must know me in some way, I mean, when she saw me. I don't know. All I know is, something isn't right. I need to leave here. Before something else happens. Something bad." She said.

"Then let me come with you." Joe pleaded.

"What!? Joe you have family here! I can't have you do that." She said.

Joe stared at the ground. "Your my only family now." He whispered and kissed her. They both pulled away, and they stared at one another in silence.

"I am?" She asked, with a smile.

He grinned. "Well, you and I seem to get along quite well. We both have the same little problem." He said. "Well, its not a problem, but it can cause some, as you just have seen." He said. "And I would rather be with someone I can trust. I know, I can trust you. You have saved my life, once, maybe twice, after what just happened, that may have crippled me. But you were here, and you helped me. I want to be with someone I can trust." He said, and held her hands, in his own.

He leaned in close once again, and kissed her. This time, it was a long kiss. HE held her head to his, and held her tight. When he released her, he looked down, and they were several feet off the ground. "Whoa! Are you doing that?" He asked Michaela.

She nodded. "Yeah, it was an accident. You just make me so happy. That was one of the things we tried to control. When I am like this, sometimes my powers, they tend to go out of my control." She said, and they both sat back on the ground.

"Do you think you will ever go back?" Joe asked her.

"Well, I probably should. That's where the truth is. About me. What do you think?" Michaela asked him.

"I think you should do, what your little heart tells you." He said in a sweet tone.

"Thanks..." She said.

"How about I come with you." Joe suggested.

"What? Really?" She asked.

"Yeah! I would love to go with you. I want to get away from here." He said.

"What about your brother?" Michaela asked concerned.

"Well..." Joe started but paused when someone came running out of the back door, and passed them. It was Frank! HE ran as fast as he could, and he reached the back fence and jumped it.

"What was that about?" Joe asked himself. He noticed Frank looked upset when he left. "I am going to go after him. Will you be okay for a second?" Joe asked, getting off the hammock.

"Yeah, go get him!" She said and Joe took off, and jumped the fence. The boys, would go over the fence and go to a secret hiding spot when they were younger. They had not done it for years. Joe ran through the woods. They had a clear path, they had made from several years back. He ran down it, and came to a stop. He looked around and saw no sight of his brother. "Frank!?" Joe yelled. There was no answer. "Frank where are you?" Joe yelled.

Frank did not answer and Joe was starting to get worried.

He continued searching, for several minutes. The sun started setting, which was making it more difficult for him to search. He started to get more and more worried.

He came to the end of the trail. At the end was a ditch, that was several feet deep. He and his brother never went that far, so Joe turned around. Where is he!? He thought really worried.

He ran back to the house and jumped the fence once again. He found Michaela still sitting on the hammock, where he had left her.

"Michaela! I need your help. I can't find Frank." He said nearly yelling.

Michaela jumped p and ran to him.

"I can't find him. What if he's hurt, injured...." Joe babbled, and was visibly upset.

Michaela grabbed him by the shoulders. "He will be fine Joe. Come on!" Michaela yelled and she ran over the fence. Joe watched her, and then followed.

Michaela was waiting for him on the other side. "Come on Joe." She said and grabbed his hand and they started running down the trail.

"Joe you look towards the right and I will go over here!" She said pointing to the left.

"Okay..." Joe mumbled and went towards the right. It was now completely dark, and they could barely see. But they didn't give up.

Michaela continued into the woods. She looked behind her and couldn't see any sign of Joe. She was more worried now, but kept looking. She came to a ditch, at the end. Where is he? She thought.

She backed up a little, when she heard a noise behind her. She turned and nothing was there. "Phew..." She said and turned back around. Maybe I should look don the ditch.... She thought. She walked closer to the edge of the ditch and noticed it was over 20 feet high. She started backing away. The ground seemed to give way, and she fell, and tripped and fell down into the ditch. Below was a rock filled bottom, and she fell down, hitting her head on one of the rocks, and slowly fell into unconsciousness.

* * * * * * * * * *

"Frank!" Joe yelled several times, over and over. He heard a rustling above him and saw Frank sitting in a tree above him staring at the stars and sky above. "You little..." Joe mumbled. "Get down Frank! We have to go home!" Joe yelled at his brother who only looked down at him, from above.

"I don't want to Joe." He said and looked back up.

"Why?!"

"Mom just told me something, something you and I would never have believed." Frank said, and climbed down the tree, and jumped when he neared the bottom.

"What did she say?" Joe asked.

Frank turned to his brother, and for the first time, in the moonlight, from above, Joe noticed Frank had been crying. "Did she do something to you?" Joe asked getting worried.

Frank shook his head . "She told me something. After what happened today, I would have thought it to be impossible, but I don't know what to believe." He rambled.

"What did she tell you!?" Joe insisted.

"You don't want to know Joe. I wish I never knew!" He said and wiped his eyes, which stung with tears.

Joe grabbed Frank's arms and pushed Frank till his back was against a tree. "Tell me!"

Frank stared wide-eyed at his brother. Joe let him go. Frank slowly sat down on the ground. "She said...." He started. Joe nodded for him to continue. "She said I am not human." He said and looked away from Joe. "I wish none of this never happened." Frank whispered.

Joe was about to say something when he had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. He closed his eyes, and a sudden pain came to him. He moved away from Frank. Frank watched him, giving him a questioning look. "Joe what's wrong?" Frank said getting worried.

Joe just kept his eyes shut, and before him, he saw a flash that appeared. It was Michaela! She was in trouble, how he didn't know, but he knew she was. Joe opened his eyes.

"She's in trouble!" Joe yelled.

"Who?" Frank asked getting up.

"Michaela! I just saw her, something has happened. "Come on! We have to find her! And now!" Joe yelled and got up, running in Michaela's direction. Frank watched Joe run from him. He doesn't care about me! This is ruining everything! Frank thought and started after Joe.

Joe reached the ditch and saw no sign of Michaela. "Michaela!" He yelled.

Frank came running up.

"Where is she!?" Joe asked, worried.

Frank didn't answer. Joe turned to his brother, when he said nothing. Joe saw Frank staring at the edge of the ditch. Joe turned and looked, and saw that something had happened. There were footprints nearby and then they disappeared.

"Go, no!" Joe whispered and fell to his knees. He crawled to the edge and looked down.

He saw Michaela, laying at the bottom, motionless, with blood around her head.

Chapter 8

Joe was about to jump down there, after her, but Frank grabbed him and held him back. "Let me go!" Joe yelled fighting his brothers grip.

"Joe! Stop it! You will hurt yourself, or maybe get killed!" Frank yelled at his brother. Joe didn't give up, he kept fighting Frank, until he ended up tripping over an object on the ground and tripped, losing his balance, and falling over the edge, and into the ditch. Joe was able to catch onto the side, before he fell.

"Joe!" Frank yelled. He tried to grab Joe's hands and pull him up, but he couldn't. Joe held on as tight as possible. He looked down and saw Michaela still lying there. Tears streamed down his cheeks. He tried climbing back up, but he didn't have the strength. He still hung on, and Frank let him go. At first Joe thought Frank was leaving him there. Frank backed away from Joe. Joe suddenly lifted into the air, and was placed safely on the ground.

Frank went over and hugged his brother. Joe trembled in his arms. "Can you get her up here?" Joe whispered.

"Please Frank..." He continued.

"I will try." He whispered, and released Joe, and went near the edge. He looked down, and started lifting Michaela up, and a few minutes later she was on the ground next to Joe. Joe checked for a pulse, she had a very small one. Thank you! He thought.

Frank sat there watching them both. If she had never shown up, everything would be fine. I should have left her there! No! I shouldn't think that. I just hope Joe can get through this! Frank snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Joe.

Joe had his hands over Michaela, once again. Please let this work! He thought. I need her!

"I am going home. Good luck Joe." Frank said and got up.

"What!?" Joe yelled. "You are leaving the both of us here!" He continued.

"Joe, I am sick of all this! I don't want to deal with it anymore!" Frank yelled.

"Sick of her? What are you sick of Frank? What makes you so sick that you won't stay here with me! I am your brother!" Joe yelled, still trying to help Michaela.

"I am going! We will discuss this later, after you save HER!" Frank yelled and took off, and went home.

"Come on Michaela!" Joe yelled. Just before Joe finished, he was thrown through the air, and crashed into a tree. Not again! He thought.

He rose to his feet. Michaela was several yards away from him, and he saw his Mother appear. She was several yards away from them. "Stay away from her!" Joe yelled at her and started after Michaela. He lifter her into his arms, and started to run home. He couldn't get over the fence, so he ran around to the front yard, scraping his arms on briars, and bushes that blocked his path. Joe ran to the van and placed Michaela in the back seat. "Time to go!" He whispered to her. He looked up at the house. He quickly ran in the front door, hoping to beat his mother there and he ran and locked the back doors. He ran to his room, and grabbed a duffle bag. He grabbed several items of clothing, and his wallet and placed them inside. He ran out of his room. He looked in Frank's room, but he wasn't there. "Good bye Frank!" He whispered. He heard a slamming on the back door, and ran down the stairs, and to the front door.

"Joe what's going on?" Fenton asked his son, hearing the pounding.

Joe jumped. "Nothing Dad. Don't worry. I have to go." Joe said and went out the front door.

"Joe!" His father yelled after him. Joe jumped into the drivers seat, and started the engine. He back out of the driveway, and saw his mother running towards them. He drove past her, going past the speed limit.

After a half an hour, he pulled over to a rest area on the side of the road and parked the van. He slammed his fist against the steering wheel. He sat there for a few seconds and turned around, and looked down at Michaela. She still had not regained consciousness. He climbed into the back seat and carefully lifted her head into his lap. He gently stroked her hair with one hand and he placed his other over her head. She had a serious cut, which was swelling. It quickly disappeared. He then placed his hand over her heart. He bent down and kissed her on her forehead. He started humming to one of his favorite songs to her. I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing, by Aerosmith. He gently placed her head, on his chest, and continued stroking her brown curls, until he fell asleep.

Joe woke up about an hour later, feeling the van moving. He slowly opened his eyes, and Michaela was gone! He looked up front and saw her in the drivers seat. He let out a sigh of relief. Michaela turned around and saw him. "Well, its about time." She joked.

Joe climbed into the front seat with her. "Where are we going?" He asked, running his fingers through his blond locks.

"Well, I wanted to get my stuff at the hotel I was staying at. Is that okay?" She asked him, pulling into a Holiday Inn.

"Sure, but why don't we stay another night. I can't go back to my house." He said.

She turned into a parking space, then parked the car and faced him. "Joe, its dangerous for me to go back, not you. Well, I don't know. But what about your brother Joe. Frank will miss you if you don't go back." She told him.

He turned and faced forwards. "I don't know about that any more. He seemed angry at me earlier. Maybe it would be best if I left." He suggested.

"Don't say such a thing. From what I have seen, he loves you. You do to, Joe. Come on. Let's go inside and get our room." She said and opened her door.

Joe grabbed her wrist and held it, so she wouldn't leave. "I have been thinking. Maybe we should go to the facility, that you said you were at. Maybe we can find our answers there. I mean, if they do tests on you, then they must know something. What do you think?" Joe said excitedly.

"Um...Well, if you want to go there. But we have to be careful." She warned.

"Great, we go tomorrow!" He said. "Let's get goin' shall we?"

She nodded and went out the drivers side door.

Joe followed her outside, and grabbed his duffle bag. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, and they started to head for the main entrance, of the Holiday Inn, tossing his duffle bag over his shoulder. They stopped when they heard a noise come from the van. They turned to see the door on the back open up. Out came Frank Hardy.

"Where do you think you are going?" He asked his brother, who was shocked to see him.

"Were you spying on us?" Joe asked, in an angry tone.

"What!? No Joe. I knew you would try and leave so I hid in the back, behind the back seat." Frank exclaimed. "What do you think your doing?" Frank asked walking up to his brother.

"This is none of your business Frank. Mom, attacked me two times, and tries to attack Michaela. Now, what do you think? Oh yeah, your from another planet, I forgot. Well guess what. I don't care any more. I am going, and there is nothing your can do to stop me. We are going away tomorrow. Go tell Mrs.. Alien, other wise known as our mother, that I am gone, for good." Joe yelled.

"Why are you doing this to me Joe?" Frank said quietly. "I have done nothing to you. I need you. You're my brother." He Said, holding back tears that were forming,

"Some brother you are. You know, after you left, Mom, came after us." Joe yelled. Frank gave him a questioning look. "That's right. She came back after me, and Michaela. Now, if you were there, that would not have happened! Also, why were you leaving in the first place.?"

Frank didn't answer, only looked down at the ground, with his hands on his hips.

"I know why, you are jealous!" Joe said.

"Joe, please stop it." Michaela said, resting her hands on his arm. "Please."

Frank turned his back to Joe. I hate this! He thought.

He turned back around, and tears had started falling down his face.

"Michaela, could I talk to you?" He asked her, his voice a little shaky.

Michaela was rather surprised by the request. She nodded and released Joe. She went over to Frank. "Joe why don't you go, get the room, for another night, while we talk." She suggested.

Joe didn't want to leave, but he didn't want to argue any more. "Fine. I will be back." He said and ran into the lobby.

Frank walked over to the van and slammed his fist on the hood. "I can't handle all of this. Joe and I have never been like this. We have gotten along great. Sure, we may have out squabbles every now and then, but we are brothers....Well, sort of. But what is wrong with him?" He said, mostly to himself.

Michaela stood several feet from Frank.

"I wish I knew. I have known Joe, for a day. He is a wonderful person. I can tell you two are close. I am sure he will get over it soon." She said softly.

He turned to her. "I am going to be completely honest with you. I was jealous of you, at first. But what you said in the van, it was...." He stopped. "It was very nice." He smiled. "I figured you wouldn't like me." He said. "But when you said those things about Joe and I. Well, I am a changed man. Well, sort of." He said.

She laughed. "Is it true. You are an alien?" She asked.

"I don't know. My mom said that I was not human. She didn't say anything of Joe." He answered. "I don't want to be like this. Its to difficult."

"I know what you mean." She murmured.

"Could I go with you guys tomorrow? Please. I really need to find ut about what's going on." He begged.

"Do you think you can handle it? I just have this weird feeling that, something is going to happen. I don't know what, but I get these hunches and they are right about ninety percent of the time." She warned him.

Frank gave her a quizzical look. "What is going to happen?"

"I am not sure. All I KNOW is that we are going to find out the truth. About Everything, and its not going to be good."

Chapter 9

Frank stared at Michaela. "What are you talking about?" He asked.

"I just get these feelings, that's all." She answered.

Frank thought for a moment. "Kind of like, what happened with Joe." He whispered.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"Well, he had these bad feeling, I guess. That something bad happened to you. He knew that you fell, or got hurt." He said. "Remember when you fell, into that ditch?" He asked. She nodded. "Well, we were talking, and all of a sudden, he started acting weird. He said that you were in trouble." He said.

"Wow, this is strange." She whispered.

"Tell me about it." He said.

"What was Joe talking about? The alien thing? Can you tell me?" She asked him.

"My Mother, told me, that I wasn't human. I don't understand it myself." He shook his head.

"It could be possible. I have heard some of the scientists talking about aliens for some reason. Never knew why." She said in deep thought.

"Maybe you are one." He suggested.

She gave him a quizzical look, then smiled. "Sure I am." She laughed, as did Frank.

"You know, at first I didn't want to get to know you, fearing that, you would replace me. But I think your cool." He smiled.

"Well, I am glad I have your approval." She laughed.

"Well, you better be." He joked. He noticed she had a leaf in her hair. "Michaela, come here. There's something in your hair." He said.

She started running her fingers through her hair.

"Come here, I'll get it." Frank said, and they both walked over to one another. Frank ran his fingers through Michaela's curly hair, and he took the leaf out. "There you go." He said, and handed her the leaf.

"Thanks Frank." She said, and took the leaf from him. She had a strange feeling come over her. She looked at Frank. "You know what. For some reason, I feel funny around you." She said.

"Is that a good thing?" He asked, jokingly.

"I don't know Frank. Its hard to explain." She said, waving her hands. "I don't know anything really. Not anymore." She said softly.

"What's that mean?" Frank asked.

"Well, before today, I have been alone, been able to handle situations, and ever since I met you guys, it has been..." She paused.

"Confusing, difficult,....and there are many more words that can fit." He said.

She nodded. "Yeah. You guys, have been great to me. I really appreciate it. The one thing I was told, was that people would think I am a freak, and that the world would hate me, if I ever left." She whispered.

"Well, Joe doesn't hate you, believe me. I think he has fallen head over heals, in love with you. And I don't hate you." He stated.

She smiled. "Thanks Frank." She said.

He only nodded. He became rather quiet after that, for about a minute and was in deep thought. Michaela just stared at him. When she took her eyes off of him, he looked at her. She makes me feel strange too! Frank thought. What is going on?

Michaela looked back at him, and he took his eyes off her.

There was a beep behind them, and Michaela turned around. A few seconds later she turned back around, and Frank was staring at her, and this time didn't take his eyes off of her.

"What are you..." Michaela started, but Frank pulled her close and kissed her on the lips, pressing his head to hers.

A series of flashes flew before him. What he saw, was unlike anything anyone had ever seen. He saw a war! But he was to far back, to see everything, but what he could make out, was that, there were two sides. Both were fighting. Some with, and some without weapons. There were several dead. The image started to become more clear. He saw his brother, among others fighting. The image went to Frank! He was fighting, but who he was unsure. He was using a sword. The other person, started coming into focus. It was Michaela! Frank was lunging at her with his sword. She had one of her own. Her attention was distracted for a moment, and Frank plunged the sword through her. Her eyes widened and she fell on her knees. Joe came running over, ignoring the battle and held her close. He said a final goodbye to her, and then got up and started fighting Frank. Joe was yelling at him, and was in a rage. Joe kept lunging at rank, with his own sword, and Frank lost his balance, and Joe stuck the sword through Franks chest.

Frank released her and screamed. He fell backwards to the ground and started shaking. He couldn't believe what he had just seen. He looked up at Michaela, who stood staring at him.

Her face was pale, and she was shaking as well. "What just happened?" She gasped.

Frank just shook his head. He got up and went over to her. She backed away from him.

"You killed me!" She whispered.

"It wasn't real." He said softly.

She started crying and trembling.

Frank walked to her, this time she didn't move away. He grabbed her and held her close to him. She held onto him.

"Sorry, about the kiss. I felt something, and I thought I should do it. I can't explain it." Frank whispered.

"What kiss?!" Someone asked.

They both turned and saw Joe standing behind them.

Frank released Michaela and she went to him. She gave him a hug.

"You okay?" He whispered.

She only shook her head. "Its terrible." She whispered.

"What is? Did he kiss you?" Joe asked her.

"He did kiss me." She whispered, and he got angry.

"And you let him?" He yelled. He turned to Frank. "How could you?"

"No Joe, it was something. He didn't do it, to kiss me, but....I don't know. Please trust me. But when he did, we saw things. Well I did." She said.

Joe turned to Frank. "Is this true?" Joe asked, calming down.

"Yes it is. I had this feeling, which I can't explain. And we saw things Joe. It was awful, like she said." Frank said. "Believe me Joe. I would never put the moves on your girl." Frank said.

"Okay. I don't know what to believe. Let's go to the room, and talk about it. Okay?" Joe suggested.

Michaela nodded, as did Frank.

They all walked to the room in silence. They came to room, 224, and stopped.

"This is it." Joe said and pulled out his key, and opened the door. "Let's settle in and then we will talk." He said.

"Sure thing bro." Frank said and went and lay down on one of the twin beds. He closed his eyes. He saw more flashes, this time, more in depth. This time, it started, where his brother, stabbed him. Joe had leaned close to Frank as he fell. "I wish things could have been different. But some things never change! You took the woman I loved. Now, I am taking you. Goodbye Frank." Joe said and pulled the sword from him, and on it was Frank's blood.

Frank sat upright on the bed.

Michaela turned and saw him, with a worried look. She had got her bag, and started sorting out her clothes. Joe was in the bathroom.

"Frank are you okay?" She whispered, and sat next to him.

"I saw more. I just closed my eyes and there it was there." He said. "Joe, he..." Frank said, and large tears started falling down his cheeks.

"I saw it Frank." Michaela whispered looking at the floor. "He said something to you, but I didn't hear it. What did he say?" She asked him.

"Um...He said he wished things could be different. I took the woman he loved, and then he said he took me." He whispered and started crying uncontrollably and buried his face in his hands.

Michaela started rubbing his back with her arm. "Its okay. It was not real. This is reality, not that! Come on Frank." She said, and kept an arm around his shoulder.

There was a sudden knock on the door. Both Frank and Michaela stayed quiet.

"Open up Michaela!" Someone yelled.

"Who's that?" Frank asked her, wiping his eyes.

"That was Jason. He is after me." She exclaimed. "How did he find us here?" She whispered.

"I don't know, but we need a plan." He whispered. He thought for a few moments.

"Open up! I know your in there!" Jason yelled once again. "I'll break the door down!"

An idea came to Frank's mind.

Just as the door burst open, Frank grabbed Michaela, and Jason came in!

Chapter 10

Jason came bursting through the hotel door, and saw a young man on top of a woman. Although he couldn't see the girl, he guessed he had the wrong room.

Frank was kissing Michaela, and turned around. "Can I help you?" Frank asked the man.

"No, I am sorry sir. I am looking for someone. I thought this was the room, I apologize." Jason said and started backing away.

"Its okay sir. Please close the door on your way out, and Frank continued making out with Michaela.

Jason left, and just as he did, Joe walked out of the bathroom, and saw his brother on top of Michaela.

"What the hell are you doing!?" Joe yelled at Frank.

Frank got off of Michaela, was rather surprised by what had just happened.

"Our pal Jason, decided to pay a little visit, and to hide Michaela, I pretended to be making out with her." Frank said. "Nothing happened, so don't worry Joe." Frank said, and stood up. He turned to Michaela. "Sorry about that. Its the only thing I could think of." Frank said and went into the bathroom.

Joe sat beside Michaela.

"I can't take this anymore." Michaela whispered.

"Was Frank telling the truth? Did Jason come in here? Is that why he kissed you?" Joe asked.

"Yeah, Jason came in, and Frank covered me, so Jason wouldn't see. I think he did the kissing thing, to make it look like we are together or something." She said.

"Okay. When do you want to leave? You know, to go to the facility?" Joe asked.

"How about tomorrow night?" She suggested.

"Okay. Want to get a bite to eat?" Joe asked her.

"Yeah, sure." Michaela said, and they both stood up.

"Frank! Hurry up, we are both going to get some dinner!" Joe yelled.

"I am coming." Frank yelled back, and the door popped open, and Frank came out.

"Where are we going?" Frank asked.

"I was thinking maybe, Chinese food." Joe suggested.

"Sure, fine with me." Michaela said and Frank nodded.

"Hold on a sec." Frank said, and opened the door a crack and poked his head outside the door, and saw no sign of Jason.

"Coast is clear. Come on." Frank said and they both walked out the door, and Joe locked it behind them.

They walked down the hallway and stepped inside the elevator. They all stood inside, and Joe pressed the key, for the bottom floor. They stood in silence, until the elevator stopped on level three. The door opened and Jason stood before them. He stepped in and pressed for the fifth floor.

Frank and Joe looked at one another and then back at Michaela, wondering why she hadn't done anything. When they turned around, they saw a Michaela had straight blond colored hair.

Joe jumped back and bumped into the Jason behind him.

Joe turned around. "Sorry about that." Joe said quickly then turned back around.

"No problem." Jason said not looking at Joe.

Jason did, how ever, turn and see Frank. "I am sorry about what happened upstairs." Jason said.

"Its okay." Frank said with a reassuring grin.

Jason smiled at him, and looked back and saw the girl behind him.

"Was this the young girl you were with?" Jason asked Frank.

"Yes sir." Frank said.

"Mam, I am sorry about that little mis hap which occurred.

"It's alright. No harm done." She said.

Joe was stunned. She didn't even sound like Michaela.

The elevator door opened up on the first floor.

"Have a good evening folks." Jason said as they walked out.

"You to sir." Frank said, wrapping a arm around Michaela and they turned around and headed out the front entrance.

When Frank let go of Michaela, he faced her and she had her chocolate curly hair hack, and looked like her old self again.

"How did you do that?!" Joe exclaimed.

"I don't know." She answered "Maybe we have the power to change appearance." She suggested. "We will find out tomorrow. Let's go out to eat." He said and they all got into the van and headed for the nearest Chinese restaurant.

(Next Day)

"Don't wake me up, till noon!" Joe said to his brother, who was trying to wake his brother.

"It is noon Joe." Frank said, and Joe sat upright.

Joe heard a laugh from the other side of the room, and saw Michaela laughing at him.

"What is so funny?" Joe asked her.

She pointed to his hair. "Your hair is all messed up." She laughed, and Frank laughed when she pointed to the mess of tangles on Joe's head.

"I am sure your hair isn't as beautiful in the morning either." He grinned.

"Oh, yes it is." She said.

"Sure it is." Joe said, and stood up out of bed and stretched forgetting he was wearing only his boxers.

He stared at Michaela who was smiling at Frank, and they laughed again.

"What!?" Joe said, and looked down. "Oh!" He grabbed his clothes he had set out the night before and ran into the bathroom.

Ten minutes later, Joe came out of the bathroom, his hair neatly combed, and in some fresh clothes.

"Much better Joe." Michaela said.

"Well, I am glad you approve." He joked.

"You better be." She smiled.

"What about me? Do I meet your approval?" Frank asked her.

"Hmm...Turn around." Michaela said.

He did as he was told, and Michaela nodded. "Very nice." She said.

"Well, how long do you suspect it will take to get to this facility place?" Joe asked her.

She thought for a moment. "Probably, 35 hiolas." She answered.

"Okay." Joe said.

"What!?" Frank asked.

"What Frank?" Joe asked.

"She just said it will take 30 hiolas to get there. What the hell are those?" Frank asked.

"Oh!, sorry. I meant like an hour and a half." She said.

"But what are hiolas?" Frank asked.

"They are time, in a language I learned." She said.

"What language?" Frank asked her.

"Um... Qsiola." She answered.

"What is that?"

"The language I was taught." She said.

"How do I know it?" Joe asked. "I knew what you were talking about when you said Hiolas."

"Well, the language, I seemed to have known. And I was taught it any ways." She answered. "Maybe you knew it to."

"That is really weird." Frank said.

"Let me test you Joe." Michaela said and Joe nodded.

"Uoix doghu yoi erio bei?" She said, in Qsiola.

"Goiud, werio dossi yui?" Joe said.

"Goiud." Michaela said.

"Wow. You know it." She said amazed.

"This is freaky." Frank said.

"Yeah it is." Joe agreed. "But it's cool."

"What did you say?" Frank asked.

"I asked Joe how he was, and he said he was good, and he asked me back." She said.

"Oh, I see." Frank said.

"You guys want to leave now? I am getting very anxious." Joe said.

"Are you sure?" Michaela asked him.

"Definitely." Joe said, and Frank nodded as well.

"Okay then. Let's go." She said, and grabbed her bag of clothes and opened the door.

"Michaela, could you excuse Joe and I. I have to talk to Joe." Frank said.

"Sure Frank." She said and walked out the door, and closed it behind her.

"What's up Frank?" Joe asked.

"I want you to promise me something Joe." Frank stated.

Joe gave him a confused look. "What?"

"I want you to promise me, that you are not going to leave. No matter what the cause of this is!" Frank said.

"I can't Frank." Joe said.

"Why?!"

"Because, we don't know what the future has in store. I am not going to promise you that Frank. Its only because I love you and don't want to see you hurt." Joe said. "I hope you understand that." He said, and looked away after seeing his brother's hurt face.

"I am never going to forgive you for that." Frank said, and opened the door and stormed down the hallway, right passed Michaela.

Joe ran out of the room, and saw Frank leaving.

"What happened?" Michaela asked.

"Nothing. Let's go." Joe said, and closed the hotel door.

They both walked to the front desk and Joe returned the hotel key, and they all left.

Frank sat in the back seat, and Michaela and Joe in the front.

Michaela sat in the passenger seat, her eyes passing from Joe to Frank several times. She knew that something was up between the two of them. She reached her hand in the back seat and touched Franks hand, which was on his lap.

A flash appeared before her eyes, and she saw Frank talking to Joe, and she saw Frank get upset, but could not make out a word they were saying.

She released her hand from Franks. "What happened up there?" She asked.

"Nothing." They both said.

"Stop lying to me." She said.

"I just don't want to talk about it." Frank said, from the back.

Michaela sighed.

(An hour later)

Michaela had directed Joe to the Facility, and they were soon there.

"You guys ready?" She asked them.

"Yeah." Frank mumbled and got out of the van.

Michaela was seriously starting to get angry by the Hardy's actions. She jumped out of the car and stopped Frank.

"Now you listen to me! I am sick of this crap going on between you two! Knock it off!" She yelled at him.

Frank stood shocked at her reaction.

"Sorry Frank." She mumbled and walked to the back of the van. Joe had gotten out and heard her little outburst.

When Joe came around he found Michaela leaning against the back of the van.

"You okay?" Joe asked her.

"What does it matter." She mumbled.

"It matters to me." He said.

"Oh really. When I ask you what's up between you and your brother do I get a response? No!" She said and started walking away from Joe.

"Michaela! Wait!" He yelled, and grabbed her by the arm.

"Joe, don't you touch me right now." She said.

Joe released her. "I am sorry Michaela." He said, and went to his brother. "I am sorry to Frank." He said.

Frank looked up at Joe. "Same here bro." Frank said back to him, and he gave him a hug.

"Let's go." Joe said, and they all started walking towards the facility, which actually looked like a prison.

Michaela walked to a back door, which she had snuck out of and opened it. She snuck in, and the Hardy's followed her.

They all quietly walked into the building, and looked around. Michaela thought she heard a noise up ahead. She paused and motioned for the boys to stop, and they did. The noise was gone. The continued up the corridor, and they turned a corner to the right. Michaela bumped into someone and looked up. She was staring at a guy her age, who had chocolate brown hair, and hazel eyes, and was nearly six feet tall. He had a football in his hands, which he was tossing in his hands back and forth.

"Hello." He said. "Haven't I seen you around here?" He asked her.

She nodded. "Yeah. I have seen you to." She said.

"So, what's going on?" He asked as he noticed the Hardy's appear behind her.

"We are here to find something, that's all." Joe said.

"Okay." The guy said.

"My name is Michaela. What's yours?" She asked stinking out her hand.

He accepted it. "My name is Jacob Hart."
