HONEYMOON TERROR AT SEA

(Scene: Joe, Iola, Frank, & Callie on a honeymoon cruise. Joe, & Iola are holding hands, & so are Frank, & Callie.)

Iola: This was a wonderful idea, to go on a honeymoon cruise. Very romantic.
Joe: Anywhere is wonderful as long as I am with you, My love.
Iola: Oh, Joe. (They kiss.)
Callie: How were you able to get us tickets at such a short notice?
Frank: Dad new the captain of the ship, & was able to get us on.
Callie: Wow, I guess that's what we get for having a famous detective as a father-in-law.
Frank: Yeah, it is neat.

(Joe, & Iola stop kissing.)

Iola: It is good to share with you guy's too. (Joe's arms are around Iola's, waist, while standing behind her.) I missed all of you while I was gone.
Frank: We missed you. Not as much as Joe did, though. I didn't think he would ever come out of it.
Joe: I just knew you were still alive. (He kissed her on the neck.)
Captain comes up: He, welcome to Honeymoon cruise lines. My name is Captain Jordonson. Who might you be?
Frank: You know our father. My name is Frank Hardy, & this is my lovely wife Callie.
Joe: & I am Joe, & this is my lovely wife Iola.
Captain: Oh, yes. I have been expecting you. When your father said his son's were getting married, I couldn't believe it. Last time I seen you 2, you were just little kids. Nice to see you both. (Tipping his hat at Iola, & Callie.) Nice to meet you 2 lovely ladies. You have a nice trip. We have lot's of games, & show's for you all to watch, & a swimming pool. Enjoy.

(The Captain leaves.)

Frank: Wow he was nice.
Iola: Yes he was. I am going to enjoy this trip. We have a wonderful cabin.
Callie: We do too.
Iola: I wonder where the gift shop is. I told Chet, & my parents that I would bring back souvenirs.
Joe: Oh, we will have plenty of time for that. (Looking around.) Not to many people around.
Callie: I guess not to many people on their honeymoon.
An elderly gentleman comes up to them: I guess they are afraid of the ghosts that walk these halls.
Callie: Ghosts? What are you talking about?
Old man: Well this used to be a ship for the elderly. They used to live on it. One day, while set a sail, some guy came & killed everyone of them. They say, they walk the ship at night. Everyone that comes on this ship, never comes back. To scared I guess.
Joe: Why are you here?
Old man: I don't now. I really don't know. (He walks off, & disappears.)
Iola: O.K. I don't think that guy is alive.
Joe: What caused his disappearance?
Callie: That was strange.

(That night as they sleep. The scene is in Joe, & Iola's room. They are sleeping.)

Iola: (Hears Moaning, nudging Joe.) Come on Joe, I want to get some sleep.
Joe: (Waking up.) Huh. (Turning over they hear the moaning again.)
Iola: Joe, please tell me that was you.
Joe: I wish I could, sweetheart. But it wasn't.
Iola: Should we go investigate? (Moan.)
Joe: If we don't we probably won't get any sleep. (They get up, & put their robes on, & Look out the door. Out in the hallway you hear moans.) It sounds like it's coming from Frank & Callie's room. (Looking at the clock on the bed stand.) At 3 o'clock in the morning. Boy they go long.
Iola: (Smacks his head.) Joe.
Joe: (Rubbing his head.) What was that for?
Iola: I think it's romantic.
Joe: Well come on then. (They go back in their room, & close the door.)

(The next morning, you see Joe, Iola, Callie, & Frank sitting eating breakfast.)

Frank: Boy you were up late last night. We heard you at 3 this morning.
Joe: Us, you woke us up first.
Callie: No you woke us up first.
Iola: We got woke up by some moaning. That wasn't you? (they shake their heads.) Oh, boy. I think we met our second ghost last night. It was coming from your room. You didn't hear it?
Frank: No.
Joe: Where did it come from?
Iola: I don't know.

(The cruise director comes up to the table.)

Cynthia: Hi, my name is Cynthia. I will be your cruise director for the cruise. Did you have a nice first night?
Iola: If you call being woke up at 3 this morning by ghosts, then yeah, we had a good night.
Cynthia: OH, you had problems with the ghosts last night, huh? Sorry about that.
Joe: You know about them?
Cynthia: Yeah, they bug our passenger's. That is why were going out of business.
Frank: We seen an elderly man, come up to us, & then disappear, on the deck.
Cynthia: OH, yes. That would be Jacko. He comes around, likes to freak people out. He can be fun thought at times. We are trying to get him to stop robbing people. Things disappear a lot, around here. Passengers get irritated.
Callie: I can see why.
Frank: Do you have any suspects? It could be human, instead of ghosts.
Cynthia: Not a believer are you?
Joe: Not really.
Cynthia: You will be.
Frank: Thanks for the warning.
Cynthia: Your welcome. What do you have planned today?
Callie: Nothing much. What would you recommend?
Cynthia: Well we have a nice dance for you newlyweds. Tonight at 8:00.
Iola: That sounds nice. You want to go Joe?
Joe: Sounds good. Frank Callie? (They agree.) Then we'll be there. (Cynthia left.) What are you thinking Frank?
Frank: Let's go to mine, & Callie's room, after breakfast, & we can talk.
Callie: You do know, your gonna pay for having a case don't you?
Iola: Yeah, on our honeymoon.
Joe: (They kiss their wives.) We will make it up to you. Don't worry.
Joe, & Frank together: I love you.
Iola: I guess we can't expect anything less from them. (She kisses Joe.) I love you too.
Callie: Amen to that. They are great guys though. I love you too. (They kiss.)

(Later that evening, at the dance. You see Everyone Dancing.)

Joe: This is great. You are a wonderful dancer, Iola.
Iola: Thanks. So are you. (They kiss. Frank & Callie come dancing up to them.)
Frank: Remember keep an eye out for the ghosts.
Iola: You take all the fun out of this. But we will. How are we gonna know it's ghosts & not a person?
Joe: Look for an elderly man or woman like Jacko.
Iola: Oh, I see.

(Later that evening, you see Frank, Callie, Joe, & Iola sitting at a table, still at the dance. Then an elderly woman comes up to them.)

elderly woman: You young people having some fun?
Joe: Yeah.
elderly woman: Honeymooners are so sweet.
Iola: Are you on your honeymoon?
Elderly woman: No. I live here. Well better be going.
Frank: Well nice chatting with you.
elderly woman: Nice chatting with you. (She takes off down the aisle.)
Frank: (Looking at Callie.) You ready to go?
Callie: Sure. (After that Frank, & Callie leave.)
Iola: I guess we could go for a stroll.
Joe: Sure, my love. (They start walking around, down the hall, & see an elderly man coming out of a room, with a bag.) Hey, what are you doing? (The man takes off.) Spunky for an old man huh? (Joe takes off after him with Iola right behind. As they round the corner, first Joe gets hit on the head, & knocked out.)
Iola: Joe! (Kneeling down besides Joe. She gets hit over the head. & she is out right on top of Joe's legs.)

(Later that evening, you see Joe, & Iola on beds, in the infirmary. Frank, & Callie come in.)

Frank: Hi, we are here to see Joe, & Iola Hardy.
Dr. Johnson: Hi are you relatives?
Frank: I am Joe's brother Frank, & this is my wife Callie.
Dr. Johnson: O.K. They are resting at the moment.
Callie: What happened?
Joe: (Waking up sitting at the side of his bed.) Oh, man. Did someone get the license of that truck? (Looking at Iola, she is just waking up.)
Iola: What happened?
Frank: (He, & Callie come over to them.) We were about to ask you the same thing.
Joe: Last I remember, Iola, & were chasing a thief coming out of a room. Then when we turned a corner we got hit on the head.
Iola: I remember. I saw Joe get knocked out, then when I bent down to see if he was all right, I got hit.
Callie: (Looking at the doctor.) Are they O.K?
Dr. Johnson: Besides having headaches for a while, they will be fine. (Looking at Joe.) I can give you some aspirin if you like?
Iola: We could use some. I didn't pack any when we left.
Joe: Next time we go on vacation, let's make sure we take some.
Iola: Good idea.
Frank: Are they good to go back to their room?
Dr. Johnson: They should be all right.
Joe: Good, I hate doctors' offices. How were we found? (At that time, the doctor had them signing some release forms.)
Dr. Johnson: Well, on of our crew found you, on the floor Mr. Hardy, & Mrs. Hardy on top of your legs knocked out, & they brought you here.
Joe: Well am glad we were found.
Frank: Well let's go.
Iola: Good idea. I want to go to bed.

(At their rooms.)

Frank: Do the 2 of you feel up to comparing notes? I would like to know what happened?
Joe: Sure, honey?
Iola: I would like to know what they came up with.
Frank: (Going into Joe, & Iola's room.) Well when we left the 2 of you, she disappeared.
Joe: That is strange, that was when we saw that ghost.
Iola: & seen the robbery.
Frank: It's not to me. The 2 are connected, I am sure of it.
Joe: I agree.
Callie: Let's get some rest, & we can see what we can find in the morning.

(Everyone went to bed.)

(The next morning, you see them at the pool. It is after breakfast. Iola, & Callie are swimming, & Frank, & Joe are on lawn chairs.)

Frank: Well that was an evening to remember.
Joe: Yeah. (Watching Iola dive off the diving board.) Boy she looks good.
Frank: It is god to have her back. I know how much you missed her.
Joe: Frank, a piece of me died in that bomb. When I thought she was dead. I love her so much.
Frank: I know bro. I know. It was hard to see you like that.
Joe: Frank, I know I was testy for a while, & I am sorry for it.
Frank: Don't thank anything of it. You were hurt, & I understood that. You are the happiest now, then you were when she was gone.
Joe: I agree bro, she is back, & I don't ever want to go through that again.
Frank: I know. (Looking at the girls, talking in the pool.) What do you say we surprise them?
Joe: O.K. (They both go near where the girls are, & Jump in, splashing the girls.)
Iola: (Joe came up behind her, & Frank behind Callie, & grabbed them, then Iola threw, Joe, in front of her.) Oh, Joe. Don't sneak up on me that way.
Joe: Where did you learn a move like that?
Iola: I learned while I was in the Witness Protection Program.
Joe: I will remember that next time. (They all started laughing, & splashing at each other.)

(Later, that day, on the upper deck. You see Joe, & Iola holding hands, & frank, & Callie holding hands.)

Frank: That was quite fun. Were gonna have to go swimming more often.
Joe: That was fun.
Iola: You 2 are cards, splashing in like you did.
Frank: We thought we would join you.
Callie: We did have fun didn't we?
Joe: Yes, we did.
Jacko: (Comes up to the couples.) Hey, nice to see you here again.
Iola: Nice to see you too.
Frank: Callie would you like to go for a walk?
Callie: Why of course. (Looking at Jacko, she said.) Please excuse us?
Jacko: Why of course. I should be going myself. You guys enjoy your cruise.
Joe: We will.

(Jacko leaves. Then Frank & Callie leave.)

Joe: I guess Frank is going to check on the robberies.
Iola: Well we can too.
Joe: Let's go. (They go to find Frank, & Callie.)

(Scene. Frank, & Callie in the hall way walking, like nothings up.)

Frank: Well this is a nice walk.
Callie: Yeah. I am glad we are alone. (Looking at their door, it is ajar.)
Frank: Did you leave the door ajar?
Callie: No, That's weird.
Frank: Let's go investigate.
Callie: (They went to their room, & see a masked man in there going through there stuff.) Hold it right there.

(The man looks at the couple, & starts to dart out the door, but Frank, tackles him to the ground, takes off his mask, & sees it is a young man.)

Young man: What the?
Callie: We were about to ask you the same thing.
Frank: What do you think you are doing in our room?
Young man: I want my lawyer.
Frank: Well where you are going. You are going to need one.

(Later that evening you see Joe, & Iola holding hand's, & Frank & Callie holding hands & Captain Jordonson in the captains office, sitting around his desk.)

Yeah.
Captain: I am sorry, your honeymoon ended up this way.
Frank: It was interesting.
Joe: Did you catch the others that was behind this?
Captain: They are in the brig until we get back to the states, & they can be arrested.
Iola: Good. Maybe we can get back to our honeymoon, & you can get your business back in shape.
Captain: That would be nice. As for you honeymoon, I have taken the liberty to arrange for another cruise, with us on us. Our thanks, & our apology.
Frank: (Standing they shake his hand.) Thank you. We will, now that the case is over with. (They leave.)

(Scene. Joe's arm is around Iola, on their bed, & Frank is holding Callie's hand on the love seat.)

Frank: Boy, am I glad that is over.
Callie: Really. Now we can enjoy the rest of the trip.
Iola: Well we get another for free. That is going to be our payback. We get to come again. (Squeezing Joe's knee.)
Callie: That sounds good.
Frank: Well we are going to have to make reservations. (Kissing Callie.)
Callie: Yeah, we are. (She whispers.) Let's go back to our room.
Frank: Let's. (Looking at Joe, & Iola.) See you guy's in the morning?
Joe: See you. (Frank & Callie leave.) I thought they would never leave.
Iola: I know.
Joe: Ready to have some fun?
Iola: You bet. (Joe attacks her playfully, on the bed.) Oh, Joe.
