TH Culture Showcase 2000 - Keeping the Faith

Xinyao, literally translated as Singapore folk songs, is well-known for its creativity in Chinese song-writing and on-stage performances.  TH Xinyao consists of a group of enthusiastic singers, songwriters and instrumentalists, who come together because of one common vision:  to let our musical works and voices be heard.  We enjoy making music together in our own ways and we will always strive towards novel ideas in arranging our own works.  Beside self-satisfaction, the satisfaction and surprises brought to our dear audiences are one of the driving forces of our zeal.

Epilogue:

It's another successful performance overall, I believe.  Once again thanks to all Xinyao members!!!  You were all wonderful!!!  The 1st item "fei1" by Sue Ing, Haisiang and myself was a new challenge.  Beside the lively performing style of Sue Ing accompanied by Haisiang, I introduced backup singing and percussion instrument (tambourine).  I hope to see more novel ideas involving more instruments n more group singing in the coming performances.  The 2nd item was another highlight:  original composition by Clarence with lovely piano accompaniment by Yu Huey; I'm sure Clarence has melt many gals' tempting heart...The last item marked the highlight of the night:  Finale item - ming3 tian1 hui4 geng4 hao3 (better will be tomorrow), where most of the Xinyao members were involved.  Though the sound system wasn't very good, the warm atmosphere was flowing all around the LT, with audience clapping hands enthusiastically which almost covered our voices!!!  Thank you for all your support!  Let's hope - ming3 tian1 hui4 geng4 hao3!!!
