This Bible was distributed at the coronation of King Edward VIII in May 1937. He later abdicated his throne to mayy Wallis Warfield Simpson, a divorced woman from the United States. His brother, Queen Elizabeth's father, then took up the throne. The bible is 7 1/2" x 5" with a maroon leatherette cover on which is embossed the gold insignia of the king and the words Coronation May 1937 and in very good condition.

This is marked Minion 8vo, refs Cum Privilegio and contains an inscription to Mr and Mrs Isaac Cole from brother Berry Barntford
