If you are a Hopkins fan and like Period dramas then this is a great Movie for you.
Hopkins play a Butler Mr Stevens who lives for his work and while doing so pushes asides his feelings for the one women he loves. Due to his inabilty to express his feelings and his loyalty to his employers.
Emma Thompson plays the House Keeper and works great along side Hopkins once again.
This is a brilliant film but it also frustrates me as it has me wanting to get into the movie and tell the characters to tell each other how they feel, dont you just hate that!
I have seen this movie twice now and throughly enjoyed it each time. Not just because im a Hopkins fan but because Hopkins and Emma Thompsons chracther have you really liking them and you can read what they want and feel. And I think they go so well together on screen.

Set in a lovely house and grounds its a pleasure to watch this movie.

This is one of my favourite movies and I highly recommend it if you like these types of films.
