| It all started way back in the mid 1800s when we were little lads growing up in the potato farms of Northern Ireland. Unfortunately for us, there was the infamous potato famine. One day our hunger grew so strong that we began a search of the fields for any sign of food. The only thing we could find was a green, mouldy, potato-shaped blob. We decided to play around with it and later discovered it was a pickle. The group of us, brought together by our hunger and boredom, decided it was time that Ireland, especially Northern Ireland, had an improv team. It was with this spirit of improvisation that "Tickle Me Pickle" was born. Of course, in the beginning it was called "Tickle me mouldy potato" but the lack of catchy "sub names" for shows quickly brought that moniker to its demise. Our group now has a home in Canada after immigrating there in search of more pickles. We even have some original members lying around. Wow. What a group. |
