History of Pickle
Nothing, other than Hockey and Donuts, is an older Canadian tradition than Improv.  For generations fathers have been takng their sons and daughters out as soon as they could walk to teach them the time honoured sport of improv, or as it is in Quebec, Le Improve.
Back in the day every day little kid wanted to join the best Bantam improv team around, "Tickle me Toronto Maple Leafs".  They practiced all year to compete for the coveted spots o the team and before they knew it, a team of seasoned improv athletes were assembled.  They played against other teams in their town and were hailed as some of the most talented kids around.  Everything was going great... until the National Hockey League heard of their success.  The NHL had been struggling for years and decided the only way to improve their appeal was to get flashier team names, and what better name than the maple leafs?  The Tickle Me Maple Leafs were devastated that their precious monickerhad been pilfered, and with heavy hearts they decided to change their team name.  The only other name they could think of that wasn't sexually suggestive yet still catchy was "Tickle me Pickle".  The name seemed to work and the team still enjoys competing in and organizing torunaments to this day... That is until some other sports leagye decides to name their team "The Pickles". So, until that day they will continue to improv their little hearts out.  Go Team Go!
