How to get a goldie. Well, first you need to get yourself the 'chocobo lure' materia. You can get this from the Chocofarm. ChocoBilly will sell you one. Also, you need to buy some stables for your chocobos. Stables are only able to be bought after you have the airship. After you have a lure and a stable, you are ready to begin! First, you need to find a 'good' chocobo. These can be found around the Chocobo farm, and everywhere else in the world.Be sure to feed all your chocobos Regan greens(they are quite expensive, but they are the best).When all you stats are up as high as possible(when after feeding it says"no effect") then, go race your chocobo until it gets to class S. If you need racing tips, go back to the chocobo page. After your good chocobo is at class S, go get a 'great' chocobo. You can find these around Mideel. Race your 'great' chocobo to class S. Then, take these two and breed them.........use the Carob nut. You can get a carob nut from monsters below Bone Village. From this breed you will get ither a Blue(river), or a Green(mountain). After you have a blue or a green, lets say you get a male blue. Race it to class S. Then go back and breed the good and great again with the Carob. Make sure you save before breeding anything at all. When you get a female green, breed the male and female (blue and green)(blue+green) with the Carob nut. This will produce a Black(mountain and river). Now, race this until it gets to class S. Then, you need to go find a 'wonderful' chocobo. You can find one around the icicle inn. After you have the wonderful chocobo, breed it with the black chocobo. Use the Zeo nut for this one. You get the zeo nut from the island down by Mideel. Goblins carry them. Breeding black and wonderful will produce....................................a GOLD CHOCOBO!!! Now you are able to get to all the materia caves.
