Miss Landers 3^rd Grade class

This week we will be learning some really fun stuff! Here are your assignments:

Day	Class/Assignment
Monday	We will have discussed mean, median and mode today. The Students will need to complete pg. 39 #’s 15-27 in their math book. (To be collected tomorrow.)
Tuesday	We will have discussed Venn diagrams, and similarities/differences today. Do the venn diagram worksheet using story problems.
Wednesday	We will have discussed collecting data, making a graph (bar/line) and drawing conclusions and making predictions from the graphs today. Visit:http://illuminations.nctm.org/tools/tool_detail.aspx?id=63 and create a bar graph comparing how many hours you spend to the activity (school, watching T.V, playing, eating, sleeping, doing chores, homework.)*This will be due on Friday so that you can calculate the hours for Thursday.
Thursday	We will have done a very fun lesson today in class comparing two different stories of the three little pigs. The lesson combined everything we have been learning this week. The students can read a third edition of the three little pigs and compare it to the other two for extra credit. (Do Monday.) The homework is to continue working on the bar graph (look at Wednesday’s assignment.) Friday	We will have done an assessment/quiz today in class over mean, median, mode, making bar graphs (drawing conclusions from them), and making venn diagrams. No homework! JHave a great weekendJ
