| George David Roberts Jr. was born in October 1872 in Tennessee. He was born to George David Roberts Sr. and Susannah Sparkman. He married Josephine Burris and lived as a farmer. They had 15 children, 11 of which lived to be adults. There names were: Hoyt, Loyd, Lewis, Vera, Hershal, Haskel Wade, Mamie, Bertie, Ophelia (Cindy), Ofel(little Sister), Novice, Juanita Isola (my grandmother), Junior and two infants that died around birth. Ofel died at about age 2 from unknown causes. George Roberts worked as a farmer and moved the family all over Texas. In the 1920 Census they were found living in Bowie County, Texas. George David died sometime in 1929 from Bright's Disease, leaving Josephine (Josie) to take care of the children.
