Del Piero: a death in the family

A sad day for Alex Del Piero. This morning, in the family home, Alex Del Piero’s father, Gino, passed away. Gino Del Piero was an employee of Enel (Italy’s national electricity board) and had been suffering from an incurable disease for some time, he was taken to the hospital of Conegliano Veneto on Sunday night.

“We will all remain by his side” commented Carlo Ancelotti, “In the last few months it has been a terrible weight that Alex has had to carry around with him. It has effected his morale and his personal life, as can be expected when someone you love is not well.”
