In the Gazzetta dello Sport,
The Gladiator, Zinedine Zidane looks forward to the clash with AC Milan,
saying "Milan is always a test of our excellence. For lovers of football,
it is a fantastic match". Del Piero has started his own personal website
in which he speaks about his recent bereavement, and explains: "Playing
football has been the best way to react". Meanwhile, Giraudo comments on
Alex's improved performances on the pitch, reflecting that "He needed time,
and we had trust in him".
The Corriere dello Sport
also focusses on Del Piero's website, in which he pours out his sadness.
On Sunday he will start against Milan, but in the meantime he talks about
a week that has profoundly affected him emotionally. This time, talking
about Roma, Zidane generously comments that "They are strong and deservedly
in first place in the table".
Tuttosport claims that Juve
want to buy Liverpool's Michael Owen. An Italian agent has been sent over
to the UK to negotiate a sale. The Liverpool striker is also wanted by
Inter and Lazio.
Umberto Agnelli, concerned
with existing players, however, has a boost for Inzaghi, and praises Del
Piero. Zidane, however, is opposed to the new contracts, based largely
on bonuses for winning.
Del Piero reveals on his
new website: "I am opening my heart to Juve's fans". Meanwhile, Director
General, Moggi replies ironically to some of the Roma coach's recent comments:
"Capello is always right!".
Other news includes the chance
to see the Juve-Milan goals on a mobile phone. This has been arranged in
conjunction with H3G, in an agreement costing 120 billion lire. Finally,
the Turin daily predict that, against Milan, Juve will return to playing
four in midfield, with the club also ready to play Brighi.
