After 80 minutes of good
football - and maybe a little too much anger than usual - against Udinese,
in a match played for the Italian Serie A, Alessandro Del Piero got booked
for the second time in the occasion, which led to his sending off.
The Juventus attacker, up
to then, had been decisive on the two goals his team had scored. He colaborated
with his free kicks, who were sent home by Gianluca Zambrotta and Filippo
Inzaghi. Besides, Alex had already gotten some chances himself, but did
not make the best out of them.
In the first half, Del Piero
got his first yellow card because of a bad foul in an opposition player.
In the second half, the card was because of a handball, who could have
been avoided. With this, the equation was complete, and the result was
the sending off of the player that had been captain of the "Old Lady" during
the match, due to the absences of Antonio Conte (injury) and Ciro Ferrara
(suspension).
Alex will be suspended for
Juve's next match, against Reggina at the Delle Alpi. But coach Carlo Ancelotti
will still be able to choose among an in-form Filippo Inzaghi, the surprising
Darko Kovacevic, and French David Trezeguet, who is coming back from an
injury.
