Alessandro Del Piero has
all but written off Juve's Scudetto aspirations and claimed that Serie
A leaders Roma are "in a different league". Juventus are nine points adrift
with ten games to play.
The Italy forward was speaking
in the build-up to Sunday's League clash against Verona, a game in which
the Turin giants will be without Zinedine Zidane, who has flu.
Del Piero is expected to
drop back and play behind Filippo Inzaghi and David Trezeguet. "We mustn't
think about Roma, because Fabio Capello's team are playing in a different
league it seems. They are just like a UFO," he said.
"But we have to stay focused
and play well, because it might still be possible to recover nine points
- but only if we don't concentrate on the others.
"Now we have to face Verona
and I remember last year's defeat, when it all started to go wrong for
us. So we have one more reason to win - revenge."
