Alessandro
Del Piero is expecting a great deal out of his newly re-built Juventus
side and is insisting on a winning run if success is to follow.
The
player is convinced that in order to make the most of this season, Juve
must start winning both in the Serie A and in the Champions League.
Winning
the first games of both competitions could cast a positive influence on
the team's future, especially in the Champions League.
He
said: "We really have to start in full steam, especially in Europe. We'll
have three games this month, so it's clear that we are deciding most of
our future in this competition right away and we must not fail.
"Last
year we wasted so much by drawing even when we should have won. We'll have
to be careful not to make the same mistakes once again"
However,
Del Piero also warns his team not to underestimate their Serie A opponents,
who may have not made a great debut, but could still be very dangerous
in the future: "After the first match day it seemed as if Juve and Inter
were the only competitors for the Serie A title. We've got to be careful
because I believe that only in the next few games we'll really understand
how strong our opponents are. "Of course we started with a victory and
we certainly don't want things to change."
