TURIN - Juventus FC general
director Luciano Moggi refuted rumours as if the club board are going to
sell Alessandro Del Piero to FC Barcelona, the Italian mass media stated.
"These rumours are groundless.
Del Piero will stay at Juventus. We must not make mistakes anymore. We
have to play six championship matches and understand that we can face many
surprises. But we must not lose our hope," Moggi said.
As a matter of fact, Barcelona
have wanted to acquire Del Piero for a long time offering a four-year contract
of annual eight million euros for him. The Spanish club are ready to pay
15 million euros for him and give Patrick Kluivert to Old Lady.
Rumours were disseminated
as if Juve board haven't rejected Barca offer and are ready to continue
the negotiations proposing their demands- 15 million euros, Kluivert and
Barca defender Puyol.
Juventus deputy chairman
Roberto Bettega has announced on the club official site that their head
coach Marcello Lippi will stay at the club for the next or forthcoming
two-three years.
"We have started a project
and reluctant to stop that. Moggi said that Lippi will stay, and I am confirming
that."
