Del Piero: Scudetto deserved

With 16 goals he definitely has been one of the leaders of the team. First year as captain, Alessandro Del Piero becomes Italian Champion for the fourth time and enjoys every moment of it: "It is a well deserved Scudetto. It would have been for Roma and Inter as well. We have been second for the past two years for one point and know what it's like. Now we're enjoying it".

So Juventus can enjoy this title that arrived after an incredible chase. A sign that they always believed in it. Del Piero confirms: "We kept on believing, not only today. Sure, after drawing against Lazio our chances were much less but we didn't give up. Strange destiny. A Lazio that two years ago overtook us, today did us a favour".
