Who's tired? Alex Del Piero
doesn't even want to know the word "tiredness". The Juve captain is in
an incredible condition, scores goals on goals and doesn't feel in his
legs any tiredness for all the matches played with Juventus and the National
team. And, after all, a match on the English soil has a peculiar appeal:
"It's enough looking at the stadium and watching the way pepole live football
in England, and I find straight the energy to play! It's so beautiful!".
This was the debut of Alex
in front of the journalists, who were asking him how he can be not tired
after this "tour de force": "I'm not tired- he repeated - When the body
and the mind are allright you don't suffer any fatigue"
The exploit of these part
of the season made someone think that today's Del Piero is even stronger
than the one in the years before the injury suffered in 1998. He replied
this way: "I don't know if I'm better, I know I'm a different player, because
from the experiences, good or bad, you always learn a lot, and they made
my stronger in my character and more mature".
Someone asked also how does
it feel to be the player in the best condition in an attack composed by
great champions. Calmly, Alex stressed this: "I scored more than the others
because I played more and I kicked also the penalties and the free kicks.
But I'd like to talk also about my teammates: Salas played an excellent
match Saturday in San Siro, he found himself often free, had a good chance
of scoring, thanks also to an incredible action by Camoranesi. Zalayeta
scored and helped us lot aginst Como, Di Vaio, before the injury, was doing
well and Trezeguet couldn't give his help only because physical problems.
I was the only one to play all the time". The usual humble captain, ready
for another important match which, in case of victory, would help Juventus
to make an important step towards the next round of Champions League.
