Turin - "We're studying an important contract renew, for five years, that corresponds to a life choice for me". Alessandro Del Piero fits the "contract renew soap opera", of which "some have written some non true things, like that the confirmation is now".

"There's still work to be done to get to an agreement - he explains - because there are many things to define, it's not just a question of money. The desire to stay entirety has always been manifestated from me and from the society. Not only scares me the idea of becoming a symbol of Juventus but it's my desire because I am fine here. It hasn't taken me a different idea anymore, in the past".

Del Piero, who definitely returned shiny from the last visit to the doctor in Paris, assures that the knee accident hasn't conditioned the negociations, but simply dissolved the time of discussions between the parts: "So many things happened to me and to the society, in these months, but there was never any reference to the accident, from Juventus, during negociations".

Opening a window on the played soccer, Del Piero is sure that "Lazio is envied by everybody and it's a great historical occasion, that only they can lose. Juve has a high morale, there were positive changes, but we must always win and hope that the others don't, to get into the top four, always a difficult objective".

And Manchester, on which depends the hope of being on the field for the final? "I don't even think about it, I only know the English are very strong and they have personality outside their stadium. If it's not Giggs, it will be a beautiful advantage, because they're very strong and it will get better for a while at home. But we've always scored at Old Trafford and if Inter didn't do it, it's closest to us. The only help I can give to my colleagues is to go to Manchester and I will do it".
