D-Day

I have been on the Tiger Mailing list for 3-4 months when I noticed the mail that William posted when selling his Cat E1. After a good look at his build diary I dropped him E. Later in that afternoon we arranged to meet and view the Tiger on the Saturday at 10:30am ish.

Saturday came around, the sun was out & not a cloud in the sky.   Rob, my brother in-law had arranged to pick me up about 9:00am . 9:00am came and went. At  9:30 I decided to called him, he had only switched the alarm off an gone back to sleep  (hands up those who haven't done that).

10:30 Ahhh he's turned up & bleep, bleep goes my pager (why did I have to be on call today of all days). The power outage in Richardson has finished and 6 Exchange Servers need to be put back on line.  Simple enough job I thought, all be done in 30 Minutes. Still,, I wanted to be on my way. 30 minutes turned into 1 hour 30 minutes. Lets just say that not all Servers wanted to be friendly and start.

Finally 12:00 and I am on my way. The blue sky turned gray and then turned black. Then did it rain or what. All of this was within 10 minutes of me leaving home. Dam. Dam. & Dam or words to that effect.  But, as the old saying goes Every cloud has a silver lining, cos as we were on our way up the A14 to Cambridge the rain eased the clouds thinned and we were back into blue sky & sun. That put the smile back on my face.

Got to Williams about 1:00pm (finally) & my pager goes off again.  Luckily  just a quick phone call and it was sorted. Back to business. Ah, first sighting as William opens the garage door and pulls out this shiny  bright yellow Tiger. After a good look around a chat we took the Tiger for a drive. I let William drive first because he knows the car and some good corners to have fun on. Now I know why Tiger owners don't have grins but have big cheesy grins :)..

Now for my turn.
