We want you to join the 1st Special Battalion Company B

Are you intrigued with the Civil War? Would you love to travel back in time to experience the sights and sounds of the past? Then perhaps Civil War reenacting and living history is for you. Reenacting and living history is the closest you can get to experiencing the past without actually being there. We here with the 1st Special Battalion Company B of Colorado are currently looking for men of that caliber and dedication striving for Historical accuracy .

Safety is priority one, so you will first learn safety on the field and how to handle your state of the art fire arm. You will learn the do's and don't while engaged in extreme combat. We ask all members to attend at least 3 events a year as well as one Big eastern battle. As a dedicated new recruit, you will learn how to eat, sleep and breathe living history. We will help you strive for historical accuracy in your gear and impression while always remembering to have fun. Then  Sergeant Bennett will drill you until you learn to love it. You will also learn how to engage the public and help us give voice for those who can no longer speak for themselves. It's important to the members of company B to strive for historical accuracy and keep the past alive. We welcome you to our humble unit.

As you can see, our Major Warren is a fair and kind man. He lets the troops stand in the snow while he warms himself by the camp fire.

As a new Tiger, there are a few rules that must be followed.

1.   Safety is everybody's responsibility;   if you think a safety violation has occurred get hold of an officer or NCO immediately. Appropriate action will be taken depending on the severity and circumstances of the ofence. Corporal Simmons once said "Reenactors don't get Purple Hearts."

2.   We are a HATE FREE group and want to keep it that way. We will not tolerate any racism nor will any members be affiliated with any Hate groups! If a member violates this rule they will be thrown out of the unit NO exceptions!

3.No back stabbing, fighting or insulting other members. Joking around is O.K. but don't let it get out of hand.  If you have a problem with another Tiger please get an NCO or an Officer involved. This is a hobby and should be fun for all involved. So please keep in mind every one is a respected member of our organization. So in short, treat others as you would like to be treated.

4. Always follow the bylaws of the unit or face the wrath of the Major.
