The Pentagram
Back
Pagans are NOT Satanists!!  Get that straight!  There is a religious path called Satanism, but I know nothing about it, therefore I won't go into it.  Pagans do not recognize the Christian God or Satan.  Neither is ever mentioned in our spellwork or rituals.  Nor do we perform sacrifices of people or animals.
The pentagram is simply a 5-pointed star.  The points represent the 5 elements (discussed on another page).  Depicted with a circle (representing the circle of life), it is called a pentacle.  Wiccans see the pentagram as a symbol of their beliefs and display it often.  Other pagans see the pentagram as a symbol of personal power.
Many people also see the pentagram as a symbol of a person.  There is a "head", 2 "arms" and 2 "legs".
The pentagram and pentacle mean different things to different people.  I use them as graphs of the elements.
