Luego salió la famosa ley seca en la unión vecina y empezaron a llegar montones de estadounidenses para tomar y jugar. Entre noche y día nació la “edad de oro” del turismo bajacaliforniano.

Ya se pasó el oro y la plata y el cobre y el bronce de las guerras y turistas de los 40, 50, 60 y de Vietnam e Irak. Llegamos a la edad de cristales y medicina alternativa. Pero sigue el turismo familiar y cultural. Todo el mundo quiere ver a Tijuana después de visitar Disneylandia o Las Vegas. ¿O a lo mejor es al revés?

In 1916 there were less than two thousand souls dedicated to agriculture, local business and the first tourist trade.

Then came the famous prohibition years in the United States and thousands of Americans came to drink and gamble. Overnight the "golden age" of Baja California tourism was born.

Now the golden age has passed with the silver and the copper and the bronze of the wars and tourists from the 1940s, 50s, 60s and from Vietnam and Iraq. We arrive at the age of crystals and alternative medicine. But family tourism and cultural tourism continues. The whole world wants to see Tijuana after visiting Disneyland or Las Vegas. Or is it the other way around?
