Where are all the forests that have been here for millions of years ?
Where are all the flowers that grew wild in green fields ?
Only in the poetry of love
Only in the poetry of love  

Where are all the birds that once flew free in the sky ?
Where are the butterflies that danced among the blooms ?
Only in the poetry of love
Only in the poetry of love

We are the children of the Earth from the very beginning
Thus far we come, rich was our heritage
a heaven we hope to build

But then,
Who came and set the rules ?
Who came and cut down the trees  ?
Who came and took away the fish in the ocean ?
Who came and kill the whales ?
Who poison the air we breathe ?
Who pollute the water ?

Now, where are the green fields that gave us the harvest of nature ?
Where are the clear cool water that once flow in the streams ?
Only in the poetry of love
Only in the poetry of love

Oh, No, You don't understand
We just want to live in peace and in love
We don't want a jungle of concrete
And a garden of artificial trees
We don't want plastic flowers, in an artificial world
Where animals live in the zoos
So please give us back the heaven we hope to build.
