1998 ANTARCTIC STUFF

Hello there everyone,  fellow Aurora V4ers and other Antarctic enthusiasts!  Below are some options to do with Antarctica, including new photos from our most recent voyage, and of course a special section on Charlie Chowder's adventures in the ice!

PHOTOS (most of these photos are mine, but some were taken by Mike, Dave, Richard and Alastair with a digital camera.  Some of the photos scans are a little dodgy, but you can get the general idea.  Some of the pages may take a few minutes to load because of the graphics, but they are worth it.  Click on each photo to see it bigger.  If you want to snaffle any of them, just click on the photo, then click right hand button of your mouse and save the file.  Enjoy)

To start, here's a photo of the famous Bill "the Krill", thanks to Joel at the Antarctic Division

Charlie Chowder's Excellent Adventure.  Experience the thrill of a Clam in the ice.  Yes!  It's Charlie Chowder's long awaited adventures in the deep south!
Penguins and more Penguins.  Choose from Adelie Penguins or Emperor Penguins
Seals.  Either Crabeater or Weddell Seals.
Antarctic Pack Ice Seal Survey Photos.  You can see us working our poor little fingers to the bone.  Choose from Aerial/Ship Survey or Capture Team.
Other animals (no I have not included photos of burnt out winterers, so don't even ask).
Ice is nice.
Some photos taken in the area around Davis Station.
Life onboard the Aurora Australis.
A good Toe Job (sorry, I think I mean Tow Job!).
A Rogues Gallery.  Photos of the good, bad and ugly on the Aurora.
