1999 Chestnut stallion. Ben is sired by Poco Pine Oil. Poco Pine Oil is
a black performance ROM son of Poco Pine. Ben's dam, Skips Ole Dogood is
an own daughter of the great speed horse, The Ole Man; and comes from
Skipper W breeding on her dams side. Ben has never been shown due to being
severely injured at 5 months of age; severing a tendon in his right rear
leg. Despite this injury he made a wonderful recovery and was the most
pleasant patient that one might ever hope to have. Before Ben headed
home to Newfoundland he was bred to several mares in Vermont. These
breedings produced four AQHA foals in '02, ranging in color from chestnut
to grullo. Some of these offspring can be seen below. We are very
excited to see what Ben will produce when crossed with our Appaloosa
mares. Ben was purchased from Nielsen Quarter Horses in
Vermont. Please visit their site and see what they have to offer.
2008 Stud Fee: $500 Ben has the
looks, attitude, athleticism, and bloodlines to produce
champions!
