About Groo:

I had considered having a music based page cause I love music but I didn't want to have to keep one interesting and up to date, not that this one is :) and I hadn't seriously thought of having a Groo page cause I don't even own a Groo comic. I also considered having a Games Workshop type page but I don't play the games enough. So when I called myself Groo I thought what better theme to have than something I could keep cool only if I could be bothered and have a little bit on Groo the Wanderer too. That's Groo the Wanderer down below and up the top too (Info on Groo the Wanderer down further too).

I call myself Groo in PC games etc. because I like Groo comics even though I don't actually own any.
Alias:
Name:Richard
City:Melbourne of course! :)
Results: Favourable

A model conversion I made using the Quake guy Warning: 579k animated gif

Unfortunately I deleted the actual model used in this animated gif but I do still have the gif of course and also the 3D Studio meshes I used for the weapon. So technically I could create a very close replica again if so inclined using the exact same weapon model but it would take a while and I'm not planning to do that. Not yet anyway.

A cool picture of me
Thanks to Tool for being such a great band and having such great cover art... Picture used in this composition is used without permission.

Now a bit About The Wanderer:

Who is Groo? Groo is the main character in Groo comics of course. He is a strange wanderer in a medieval type (or older) land drawn by Sergio Aragones . Groo is a remarkable swordsman but he is rather stupid, which is not necessarily a bad thing seeing as it often even saves his arse :)

He is a man who has survived so many mishaps that it's a wonder he still wanders. He loves cheese dip and his dog, Rufferto and hates being called names he doesn't know the meaning of. Groo wanders the lands alone (apart from Rufferto) trying to be a do gooder but he doesn't always do good. He is a magnet for mayhem and every town he steps foot in will somehow be reduced to nothing. He is also seen in some MAD magazines.

Rufferto may be the only one stupider than Groo because he thinks Groo is smart. He was a royal dog but became sick of the good life and ran away with Groo. He loves Groo just as much as Groo loves him and will never leave Groo (especially since the Groo comics don't get written anymore :-( ) Well here's a picture of the two mega stars together then a little Rufferto comic strip:

Groo Links:

http://www.newdream.net/groo This site is the same link as the picture link up above. It's a cool resource for Groo pictures and a better background on Groo.

http://www.ts.umu.se/~scarl/groo/ This one's got a big list of all the Groo issues from all three publishers that have made Groo. It's very useful especially for someone who doesn't own any of them heheh. I promise I'll get some soon. I have read a fair few though.

http://www-students.biola.edu/~pauls/groo/groo.html At this place you'll find people who trade Groo stuff but I don't know how many of them are from Australia. But hey, I don't even know if you're from Australia anyway.

http://www2.awinc.com/users/dmcvicke/groo.html Here you will find GROOISMS from around the world sent by people just like us around the world and some more info on the Wanderer and friends. What are GROOISMS I hear you think? Find out for yourself by clicking there and reading them. Some are very amusing.

The Norwegian Groo Page: http://privat.riksnett.no/~rohans/groo/ This is a link that Ronny Hansen sent to me disappointed that it was not included in the first place. Sorry, I beg forgiveness and it is a good page also - "The best Groo page in all Norway" :)

The Creators of Groo

I think this is some kind of copyright message. The creator of Groo is Sergio Aragones. His characters are the coolest of them all and the planet wouldn't be the same without them. It would be a world without Groo :) Not to mention all the little side thingies in MAD Magazine which were about my favourite part of that mag. Groo even appeared in MAD a couple of times. I do actually own a pile of MADs and I haven't even read em all. I've got so much I haven't read yet I don't know why I'm playing quake. Yes I do :) Well here's a picture of the man, Sergio:

I guess he would be the copyright holder of all these pictures.
