Information was released today on how the Visual Memory Unit (VMU) will be used in some of the release games. Here is a run down of what will be available:

Sonic Adventure

The VMU will allow you to download Chaos (Virtual Pets) from the game and nurture, feed, and care for them. After raising them you can engage them in head-to-head Chao battles and mini games.

Sega NFL 2K

With the VMU you will be able to choose your plays on the VMU display so that you can suprise your opponent with plays that they can't see on the TV screen.

Power Stone

After completing the Arcade mode with different characters you will be able to download mini-games to the VMU. These mini-games include a airplane shooter and a slot machine. As you play these games you will earn gold coins which will allow you to open special features including an art gallery and a collection of music and sounds from the game.

Ready 2 Rumble

The VMU will allow you to track your health meter, punches thrown, and your percentage of accuracy on the small screen. This will let you clear off the TV screen allowing you to focus on the fight at hand.

TrickStyle

One mini-game is available with TrickStyle. It is called TrickStyle Jr. and makes you ride a hover-board over pickups that increases the length of the colorful streak of light trailing behind your board in the real game.
