WEREWOLF: THE APOCALYPSE WILL RAGE ON 32-BIT SYSTEMS

May 16,1996: Capcom Entertainment debuted Werewolf: The Apocalypse for the Sega Sayurn & Sony Playstation. An action/adventure game based on the wildly popular Storytelling system created by White Wolf,Werewolf: The Apocalypsepresents players with an exciting new 3-D isometric environment. Combining many elements of horror and fantasy in a rich gothic struggle against the evil forces of WYRM. Werewolf: The Apocalypse is one of TWO games developed by Capcom Digital Studio s, Capcom's US-based R&D team. Werewolf players are able to select from the group of SEVEN characters, with the option for ONE-and-TWO player simultaneous gameplay. All the sprites are fully rendered, with the majority of the creatures created on Silicon Graphics workstations (which allows for powerful special effects like the character's fluid morphing between human, wolf and werewolf forms). The game itself is viewed from a fluid three quarters, top down(isometric) perspective, and also has a free-floating "zoom" camera feature. Players will be able to build up "Rage Points" which can be used to transform your character between the THREE diffrent forms, and "Gnosis Points" for special magical attacks using the character's "Gifts". Each character that the player can choose from is unique, with their own individual appearance and powers. Werewolf is scheduled for release in the Third Quarter 1996 and will retail for $64.95.
