How halflings came about is astounding. With the onset of nuclear winter the genes of humans began to change. The gene responsible for primordial dwarfism* mutated, making it become more and more dominant, until it made those who carry the gene give birth to a child with primordial dwarfism nearly 100% of the time. As time went on, the conditions that usually went along with primordial dwarfism, such scoliosis, mental retardation, Osteodysplasia, blindness, ect became uncommon, and eventually non-existant, what was left was a race of tiny human-like creaturs, dubbed halfings. Halflings stand usually around 3 1/2 ft tall and weigh usually about 50 to 60 lbs for males and 3 ft tall and 40 to 50 lbs for females. One thing that sets them apart from looking exactly like tiny humans is their facial features, they usually have large beaklike noses, large eyes, and low-set ears. While phyiscally they are weak, they are extreemly quick and nimble, they are often employed as snipers and thieves due to their quickness and size. For their statistics they gain +10 to their Quickness, +15 to Silent Movement, +10 to picklock,, +10 to Steal, +15 to Hide Primordial Dwarfism - A condition in where people are born small and frail, as time goes on they grow no taller than 4 ft tall usually and unlike other dwarves, are usually extreemly skinny, and very evenly proportioned.
