NAUnet has been in operation from 1996. However, the name was given by me, when I joined the net in November 1997. NAU stands for Nephews / Nieces, Aunts, Uncles. Only members of the Jayalakshmi / Ranganathan family (see photo) are eligible to join this net. We started with 7 members in 1997 ( yours truly from Tinsukia, Santhanam from Hull, Prasad and Mukund from USA, Raghu from Australia and Ramesh & Rahul from Chennai ). In spite of occasional hiccups and unexplained silence from members, the net has served to bring the family closer and we do look forward to mail from every member in the net. Who knows, we may one day have a FAMILYnet or even an IYENGARnet. To enable the members to greet each other, the important dates in the lives of all my family members are given in important dates. I am giving the names of members of NAUnet as on September 1998 with their personal e-mail addresses. Please mail the e-mail addresses of anybody left out.
