Banjo-Kazooie: Introduction

KEY for Map

  • - Bottles' Mole Hills
  • - Extra Honeycomb Energy (see Pick Ups for more info)
  • - Extra Lives (see Pick Ups for more info)

The start of the game is located just outside Banjo's house (where you start), all you can do at the moment is crouch and jump (but not very high). when you reach the mole hill you will immediatly talk to Bottles. He'll intoduce you to the first moves...

There are no Jinjos in this level, but for the beginers, Jinjos are these little creature that whistle when their not on screen and yell "Help!" when you can see them. Get all five of these little coloured animals, and you earn yourself a Jiggi.

Bottles the mole helps you out quite a bit in this level giving you a total of basic Moves, these include:
    1. The Claw Swipe
    2. Roll Attck
    3. Beaky Barge
    4. Rat-a-tat-rap
    5. Swimming
    6. Feathery Flap
    7. Standered Jump
    8. Climbing
    9. Flap Flip
Bottles teaches you alll of these moves as you wander around spiral mountain, his molehills are pointed out on the map, just go up to one and press B to talk to him.

There are 2 Extra Lives in this world and they are quite well hidden. The first one is on top of th chimney of Banjo's house, but you have to learn how to do the Flap Flip before, so you can jump high enough to reach it. The second Extra Life is inside a cave on the big waterfall. These 2 Luves are marked on the map at the top of the page.

There are no Jiggis in this world but for the new comers, ajiggi is a golden jigsaw piece that you need to open up pictures. once you complete a piucture and fill in all the pieces, it opens up a door to a level! There are 10 Jiggis in each world (except Spiral Mountain).

You will receive an Extra Honeycomb piece once you complete one of the moves Bottles The Mole teaches you, but they may be just hidden slightly. They are hidden alot harder in the later stages, and there is usually 2 in a course, not 6 as in this world. The Extra Honeycomb pieces are located on the map.

There is also no Witch Switch in the level, but for people who don't know Witch Switches are switches with Gruntilda's face on it. You pound on it and it'll release a jiggi into The Witches Lair. There are only one of these in each world.

There are no notes in this level. The Notes will be explained in the next level, but they are much like coins in Super Mario 64, but you need them to open Note Doors.
