Brennon the Chivalrous

Brennon is a ancient deity who up until recently was almost forgotten. He was a strong and powerful figure back in the time of the Gods and had an important role in the battle against Balor.
When Balor was at his most powerful on the battlefield only Brennon stood in his way and battled long with him. Eventually Balor triumphed and left Brennon for dead. Brennon had managed to buy enough time for Lugh to arrive on the field and weakened Balor enough so that Lugh could eventually defeat him. Brennon however was not dead and Herne took him from the battlefield and laid him deep in the soils of his forest to rest and recover. Brennon rested for many thousand’s of years and in his sleep he saw much of what went on in the lands. He in particular grew impressed with the emergence of the Knightly Orders and their sense of duty, honour, justice and chivalry. When Brennon finally awakened from his slumber he realised that none of the deities championed these causes. Some of them had some of the ideals but none had combined them. Brennon approached the council of the gods and announced his return to their great surprise for many had thought him dead. Brennon requested that they accept him into their fellowship and after Lugh and Herne spoke on his behalf he was accepted. The Order of the Oak had a new member.
