Ronin Warriors Page mini-F.A.Q.

This little Miniature Frequently Asked Questions page should answer some of your questions. This is not the end-all and be-all of Ronin Warriors questions and answers, only something that should answer most questions that I get asked about this page. If you want real detailed information, I reccomend that you go to the Yoroiden: Samurai Troopers Field Guide.

Where can I get Ronin Warriors TV series on video?

You can't. Graz Entertainment, who distributed the Ronin Warriors TV series, has not released them on videotape. And for crying out loud, don't ask me to send you my copies taped from TV. I don't have the time, inclination, or equipment for a large-scale distribution.

Can I get any original Yoroiden: Samurai Troopers in Japanese?

You probably won't be able to find fansubs of the TV series either, since their distribution would be pretty illegal right now. However, there are three Samurai Troopers OAV series that have not been picked up. You can get Kikotei Densetsu, Message, and Gaiden in raw Japanese (no subtitles) from these sites:

  • Tiara's Fansubs
  • Alex Keefe's page
  • Project Anime
  • There are some fansubbers, most notably The Lupin Gang, who intend to take on the OAVs as future fansub projects. If you want more information, pay them a visit.

Where can I find the Ronin Warriors on TV where I am?

I have no idea what the TV listings are where you live. You can find out at TV Guide.com. They were showing on the Cartoon Network during their afternoon Toonami block. It is not currently showing on Toonami, but word has it that they will return. If you don't have Cartoon Network, contact our local cable provider.

Where can I get episode guides?

You can find an episode guide at The Ronin Warriors Emporium. This epidoes guide summarizes both "Ronin Warriors" and "Samurai Troopers," since Graz (miraculously) made no cuts in the series!

    What's with the forehead symbols?

I'll just reprint an e-mail reply here to tackle the subject:

    	Yes. Both.
Allow me to esplain. These are called "Kanji." The Japanese
actually have four different writing systems. Hiragana are the basic
Japanese alphabet. Katakana are more or less the same, but they are a
differnt set of characters used for aproxamating pronunciations of
things that are not in Japanese. They also learn romanji ("Roman
characters") which are Roman letters and Arabic numbers (A, B, C, 1,
2, 3, etc.). Lastly, there are kanji ("Chinese characters"), which are
borrowed from Chinese. They can convey an entire word or concept in
just one character instead of spelling it out.

    EXAMPLE:
Using one character for "[Jin]" ("Virtue") instead of spelling out
    "[Ji]-[N]" ("V-I-R-T-U-E").
"[Inochi]" ("Life Force") instead of "[I]-[No]-[Chi]"
    ("L-I-F-E-F-O-R-C-E").

Where can I send my comments on your "Senshi-Ronin" couples thing?

You can send them to me at <tuckerx@juno.com>. I will post them on the page at the next update.
