Here is some brief (i could talk forever about some of these people, but i will refrain from doing so) info. about the poor saps that have been lucky enough to get to know me over the years (hehehehe). I will try to list them in the order they appeared, ya know, like in a movie....
Dave Chandler - Dave is my oldest friend, we met for the first time when we were about 4 feet tall, in 5th Grade. We liked to play baseball, and other various forms of it together. At one point, we played this somewhat crappy baseball board game (complete with paper cut outs of players) that we made up in 5th grade. Dave still has some parts of it inside an old binder that we look at whenever we want to laugh at ourselves. =) Dave lives in Utah, but is currently on a 2 year missionary trip to Calgary Canada.
Bryan Matthews - I met Bryan early in 7th grade. We were both in the "honors" program, and had all the same classes together. Despite the fact that both of us are normally very very quiet in front of other people, we somehow started talking to each other and became very good friends. Bry clocks in at 6'4,and is known as the BFG (Big Friendly Giant) at our college. We both go to Santa Clara University, and like to play video games, sports, and pretty much everything else together.
Jim Pascoe - Jim went to school with Bry since kindergarten (or somewhere close to it), so i met Jim through bryan in 7th grade. The 3 of us have done a lot together, including a cross-country train trip across Canada and the US. Me and Jim played Final Fantasy 7 together, and are the best Whist partners in the known universe. =) We also made quite a StarCraft team, winning a 2 on 3 game in stunning fashion. Like Bry, Jim is quite a scholar, and currently goes to the military academy in West Point, NY.
Kurtis Nishimura - Amazingly enough, i also met Kurtis in 7th grade. He transferred to our school around christmas time, so we didnt get to know him till the end of th year. Me and Kurtis were Street Fighter 2 freaks, and would run around town in the rain to get to some pizza place that had SF2, where we would spend all our time (and money). Kurtis currently goes to UC Berkley, and IS a rocket scientist, or at least he will be in a few years!
Joel Linscott - We didnt meet Joel till 11th grade, but he quickly became one of my good friends. He is a big guy, looks sorta like he could be a lineman or something (just needs the coordination ..jk!) Joel barely survived our senior year of high school, as our sociology teacher was determined to make life miserable for him. Thankfully, Joel prevailed! Apparently he has had enough of our taunts about him being a janitor, so he now plans on attending college in New York next year.
Nicole Williams - Nicole was in the "band click" me and bry hung out with during those loooooong band trips, so i got to know her pretty well. I always had a good time bothering her, throwing things at her, and making very clever insults about her, counting the seconds it took for her to realize what i said and then make a joke about THAT, and, well....you get the picture. Seriously though, we are good friends, and still see each other when she comes back from Pennsylvania, where she goes to college.
Sharon Kohara - Although Sharon was not in band, she is friends with nicole and Aya, so i sorta got to know her in high school, but never really spoke to her until after we graduated, which was a shame.....i couldve used someone else to make jokes about! We talk alot on-line, via Instant Messenger, where we can freely sling insults at each other with no fear of retaliation!
Aya Yoshida - Aya and Nicole hung out together with the rest of the "band click" so i met her in 11th grade when i joined band. I always wound up sitting behind her in our English and Physics classes, so she too, would get hit with a lot of sarcastic comments about teachers, homework, other people in the class, etc. Aya is, well, short. Very short actually. Im not sure how bryan avoids stepping on her when we hang out. She currently goes to UC Davis, where she will probably continue getting annoyingly good grades like she did in high school.
Well, thats it. If you do NOT appear on the above list and you think you are a friend, you must not have tried hard enough! Seriously though, i am not finished with this page, so there will be more added shortly! |
