Responsible for directing U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant funds as well as various state grants for housing, economic revitalization, and public service grants. Developed department budget of approximately $3,000,000 annually. Directed staff of 12 for work assignment, training, and performance evaluation. Implemented computer technologies for federal and state government reporting procedures. Developed and directed short term and long range plans consistent with overall goals of Mayor. Worked directly with City Planner for implementation and development of new projects including tax increment financing, ordinance variances, and zoning. Reported monthly to City Council.

Responsible for overseeing that necessary reports and financial records were made and recorded on a daily basis. Managed a personnel staff of 11, administered work assignments, employee performance and training. Implemented procedures to ensure efficient operations of the office.

Managed staff of 17 attorneys and 15 support staff personnel. Duties included: scheduling, salary review and payroll, developing office policy, implementing new technologies for court system, track and maintain budget. Combined efforts and teamwork with Chief Judge of the Circuit Court, County Sheriff’s Department, and Clerk of the Circuit Court to ensure effective communication.
