I have a friend, My best friend. He has been close by my side in the good times but more importantly the bad.
Oh yes, I am one old man who has had a lot of pain throughout my life. But He never promised He would take away our problems. He did say he would cause all things to work together for good if I loved Him.
There was a time when I was headed toward death but he took my place and gave His life freely instead.
His own blood flowed openly to the ground and I was covered. That covering shields and protects me now and forever.
