Below are excerpts and redraft of a letter I sent to an educator one Sunday afternoon. This was following his lecture. I was hoping to elaborate on additional points concerning thoughts on the Bible version of the creation. | ||||||||||
Letter To The Educator
Dear Sir, I spoke with you after the morning worship service at church today. I am deeply impressed by your zeal for justification of the creation account. You pointed out the overlapping of human and dinosaur footprints at a site in the American southwest which bears witness to the fact they had to have been laid down at the same moment in history, “together”. Thanks for the enlightenment! For many years I have been keen to the fact, if God could make a full grown man, then why not a mature earth. In other words the Earth could appear to be millions of years old just as Adam and his wife appear full grown. Many years ago a church elder expressed that to my Sunday School class. Excellent point! Now The Big Bang. Do you realize the fundamental philosophy of The Big Bang bears witness to the creation account. WHAT? Yes indeed. The Big Bang states the universe started in a central location from a huge explosion and is expanding outward. That's simple enough. The Word, who later became Jesus, started speaking our universe into existence from a central location and it burst forth. It is expanding outward from there. See John Chapter 1 concerning the Word and who He is. As far as galaxies being thousands of light years from earth: It is quite possible for the creator of the universe to warp light speed a million fold. And even without the use of light speed He could place galaxies or any other created phenomenon anywhere He pleases without regard to how far away from us they might be. The laws of physics apply only to the creation, not The Creator. I suppose it is no secret the theory of the Big Bang would sound like a huge explosion in the ears of an entity outside of Christ. I know, I know, there is no sound without air but you get my point! Jesus is the law of the universe. Jesus is the law that is present to keep it all in order. The Bible refers to Jesus law as “the law of Christ”. He is the creator of the law that binds the whole universe together. We in the natural man know this as “the laws of nature.” Oddly enough the creation wasn't the typical chaos as in a normal explosion. A very interesting point to make here is things did not blow apart they blew together! No matter how many eons or how much time passes the law of physics governing explosions, in this universe, separates things not assembles. It could be said: If the Word brought it into existence, “It Was A Biggggg Bang!!!!!” However I subscribe to the Jesus spoke the word and it Burst Forth Theory. For more information on the “law of Christ” see my short story titled “Why The World Such? Why All Happens”. I am sorry I did not know exactly how to answer when you ask, “What was the nature of my writing?” Frankly, I had never thought about it. I suppose my literary work would best be described as: A theological perspective applied to the daily living philosophy of the Christian. Timothy G. Me |
