The Beginning Of Time As We Know It | |||||||||||||
space as the Second Heaven.
God filled space with wonderful things. When we look up into the night sky we often refer to it as the heavens. Day 5 Then He spoke forth “…let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.” Genesis 1: 20-23 (NASB) Also on this day He created swarms of living creatures in the seas. Day 6 The final day of creation brought forth the land animals, creeping things and man. Genesis 1: 24-31 Day 7 On the 7th day God rested. Genesis 2: 2 And that brings up another point. After six days of work we need rest too! After all, we are made in the image of God. I call the creation my Burst Forth Theory. The Word, which is Jesus, which is God, spoke and the whole creation Burst Forth! Conclusion There are many other facts concerning Genesis chapters 1 and 2 that I have not brought to light here, primarily because they were not necessary to establish my point. I also want to interject here a very important addition to the "heavens" issue. In 2 Corinthians 12: 1-6 we read the story of Paul being caught up to the Third Heaven. He does not know if he was in his body or not but at least his spirit went there. Where is this? He says Paradise. It sounds like Heaven to me, the city of God. Now for those of you who feel the universe is just to big for this to be true. Have you considered even though some galaxies are an exponential number of light years from earth it is certainly possible for the creator to multiply light speed to a factor millions of times and more. 186,000 miles per second is a snail’s pace for such a Deity. Everlasting to everlasting! He created light. The laws governing physics are relative to the creation and not The Creator. Thus is the account of the first seven days of, Time As We Know It.
