Boeing B52H Stratofortress The Mighty BUFF (If you don't know what that means then mail me! I ain't printing it here!) first flew in 1952. They will stay in servce until 2044. After 92 years of service I think these aged bomb trucks deserve a rest! Despite their age these very aircraft were flying combat missions in the Balkans from this very base only a few weeks before the show. Boeing 707 This Royal Australian AF transport is a long way from home. The 707 is still in service all over the world in many military roles despite flying for the first time in 1954. |

CASA C101 Aviojet Not for the faint hearted the Spaish Team Aguila show how to do a formation landing. Impressive! Lockheed C130 Hercules (Below) There were examples from all over the world at the show. Here are just 2. One is a C130E of the Turkish airforce in bare metal finish. The other is the latest version, the C130J. It is more powerful, has longer range and has the most modern cockpit in a transport aircraft. This is the streached C4 for the RAF who are the launch customer. |
